Kit was startled by the sudden thud of the woman's head against the table, but continued to listen in curiosity and sympathy. This really was pitiful, and perhaps she wasn't really in her right mind with all of the alcohol in her system, but they wanted to help her anyway. It wasn't often that they got to interact with those of the living world, and they thought that it was important to do what they could to lessen this woman's pain, and maybe even learn something about the rumors of the gardens along the way. Honestly, the things she said were gibberish to them, but maybe they'd be able to figure out exactly what she was saying with some... well-formulated questions. They didn't really want to let on that they really didn't belong at this party, so they had to be a little careful with their words.
"Yeah... I don't really know much of anything about it, to be honest. My friend didn't say much." They lowered the volume of their voice to try and keep anybody around from hearing and turned their gaze downward, looking at their hands. "And I dunno what biotechnology means. So it's kinda hard for me to understand." They patted her on the back lightly. "But I'm sorry it's so hard."
