As Sienna watched the duo taking turns sniffing the things she spotted some flat ones that would hang in a car and suddenly found it hard to not come up with something to indeed give Maxwell. But it had to be something with rainbows or maybe she could dress it up in rainbows... and glitter.
Spotting one she wanted she reached up and pulled it down. Frosted Vanilla Cupcake, Perfect. Now she just needed to get into Maxwell's paints and glitter and dress it up. He'd never know the difference. So pleased with her plan she chuckled to herself darkly. It was perfect and would work much better than trying to spray him down or give him those bathes she often forced him into. She glanced around to the other options but decided on this one for now...

"Can't say I hate it, but it's a bit too strong..." he muttered, and looked through a few more scents. Sniffing so many made him sneeze occasionally, but he did settle on one finally, smiling at the label, "I think I'll take this one." Joakim handed the item over to Amsteria. Wild Berries. Even if it wasn't 100% the same as what he's used to, he's pretty sure it's close enough. Picking wild berries was something he did quite a lot in his youth, after all, "What've you got so far?" he looked at the fair-haired woman, noting that she seemed to be trying to coordinate the scents. Naturally it was something Joakim didn't think of doing. All he wanted was to get the smoke and the coffee smell out.
Craning his neck slightly, he spotted Sienna again, "Where the hell did you come from." it was intended to be an innocent question, but being the foul-mouthed viking he is, Joakim couldn't help but let the sentence slip out with more bite than he intended, "Found what you were looking for yet? Also, you two have been pretty quiet the whole time. Is there something I'm missing here, like you two generally not getting along or one of you pulled a prank on the other and you're just not talking to each other? Either that or you guys just... don't talk. Which is going to make this trip pretty awkward. It's already awkward enough for me. Come on, a huge bastard walking around with two women almost half his size? I probably look like a crook already." he near-grumbled as he looked back and forth between the two. It was probably just him, but he'd rather like it if people were more open with each other. He could forgive Ams for keeping her silence, since she's literally new to the afterlife scene, but Sienna he's seen around quite a bit.
Except she scuttles away from crowds. It's probably a thing of hers to do, but yeah. No better time like the present to start making friends, he supposed. Shrugging when he initially got no response, Joakim sighed, "Just my two cents. Don't mind me."

Amsteria looks up in earnest at the choice of scent Joakim took. It was one of berries, a decent choice. She wondered if it would be strong enough, but reminded herself that if there would be a whole bunch then it would be strong enough. "So far I have Lavender...," she murmurs absently. Come to think of it, berries and flowers naturally go hand in hand, berries are the outcome of flowers, after all. She was still contemplating on the lemon scents as Joakim asks Sienna a question. She also listened to what Joakim was talking about, apparently about them being so quiet? Oh, Joakim, she mused.
"I am one of few words Joa," she looks up at him when he was done, "well, sometimes I just prefer company to much sound...," she continues, looking at Sienna in turn. She was busy looking at other kinds of fragrances. Amsteria looks back at the Joakim, "Loosen up, Joa," she playfully gives him a punch on the shoulder, "are the crowds getting to you? If it is, then I'll make my decisions and we can ease out of here."
It was an honest offer, and she was pretty certain 2 berries, 4 lavenders and 2 lemons would be a good combination.

Sienna stepped back in surprise at Joakim's harsh rebuttal. Had she done something wrong? She wasn't sure honestly and simply stared at the air freshener in her hands. He asked another question and she fumbled slightly with the item in hand and shifted her gaze to her feet. Ansteria chimed in and gave her reasons but hers were far less silly than her own so so fidgeted quietly for a moment before she assumed it was her turn to speak. "I um... not u-used to... s-speaking my mind." Her upbringing and life had done the job along with her shy personality. Heck she still found herself standing on buses and giving up her seat when others without one so much as looked in her direction. "I'm.. s-sorry." She'd gotten better though, she'd have never come and greeted them a hundred years ago, but she was often reminded that her progress had been excruciatingly slow.

Amsteria's explanation was simple and succinct enough, and it came across clearly, making the older man sigh, "I see," was all he could say before Ams struck him on the shoulder amiably, "Eh... A little. I probably just need to step out for a bit. I'll do that in a sec, if that's fine with you." When Sienna spoke though, Joakim couldn't help but sigh again.
He reached up and scratched the back of his head. Not used to speaking her mind, huh... "You didn't have to apologize." He hadn't realized that he'd upset the smaller woman with his earlier comment, hence his not-too-apologetic stance on the whole thing, "Ehh... I guess I'm just more used to being around noisy people..." That wouldn't be too far off the mark, considering the noisy group he was with prior to the shuffle in teams. Oh, speaking of team shuffling...
"Hey Sienna, your new team any easier for you to mingle with? You don't make too much sound to begin with, just wondering if your teammates are giving you a hard time." god, talking to quiet people felt WEIRD.

As Joakim continued to attempt a conversation with the shy and hesitant Sienna, Amsteria continues to look through the fresheners. It would seem to be better to go for the gel types instead of solid ones. She remembers how she had tried buying them for herself, when she was still in the realm of the living. The gel ones seem to outlast its solid counterpart, and to ensure efficient airing of their team room, the article needs. To last. Long.
Amsteria picks her choices and bundles them up in her hands, stepping with a slightly bowed leg back so as to not become a clear obstacle between the two talking Apprentices. Once she pays these off they can finally get back to HQ, and perhaps she can stuff these in obscure parts of the team dorm room where the men won't find it. Well, except Joakim, since he's an accomplice in this charade.
"Joakim," she mentions with her hands full of scents, "I'm going to go off to the cashier to pay for these. It's just straight ahead," she motions her head to the cashier, with a label above it saying 'Cashier 2'. People were still frolicking around, like a constant traffic jam with their shopping carts and children. Amsteria wonders why she did not grab a basket while she was entering the premises. Ah well, bygones be bygones. She can handle an arm full of blocks.

((I apologize for Sienna's mental rambling u_u ))
Sienna was aware she didn't need to apologize but again she was used to having to apologize regardless of who's fault it was. In the past it had been used to escape a lashing or something equally painful. Unfortunately her inherent fear never really went away. He mentioned that he was used to dealing with noisy people and despite wanting to say something else another apology slipped out. Like she was unconsciously sorry she wasn't a loud person since this was hard for him to interact with her obviously.
She fidgeted slightly as she watched Amsteria grabbing more things before glancing up at Joakim once more as he asked about her team. For just a brief moment her eyes darkened at the thought of Maxwell, ruining her perfectly ordered room.=, wearing her clothes and more or less turning her mostly organized world onto it's head. But as fast as it came it went. While she despised his very presence it was hard to hate him entirely. He was always leaving her 'gifts' and even if the action made her want to shove him out a window the thought kept her from actually committing murder.
Then there was Surya, her first friend here but she was also a very expressive person and while she didn't tend to intrude into her wardrobe she was constantly barging into her life and showing her pictures of men. Most notably hunters, the enemy. As in their butts. She'd seen one too many butts lately. But she did help her a lot when needed and she knew she could go to her if she was feeling down and come out better. Annoyed but better.
Salvia was still a mystery to her. But she was certainly more composed and less intrusive than the former two. Salvia was good for a tea time chat or just quiet company. Fidgeting again she decided she liked her team, even if she wanted to murder half of it on any given day. Now that she'd fully assessed them which had taken only a few seconds she could answer his question.
"I... they're, I like them." She stated simply. She never had been good at that verbal expression thing. It was a shame she simply couldn't be telepathic because then communicating would be so much easier. Her head turned to Amsteria as she mentioned heading to cash out and without thinking she turned to her with open arms. "D-do you need help."

The viking nodded at Amsteria as she took her leave, "Alright," he murmured, loudly enough for her to hear him, and then he turned his attention to Sienna.
Another curt answer. Joakim wasn't sure what to say at this point, outside of, "I see. That's good to know." Sienna seemed to be more inclined to help Amsteria, so without another word, he turned and walked past the two ladies, telling them "I'm gonna go grab something to drink. See if you can find me in the cold storage area." it shouldn't take him long to get his drink and meet them back here. Cashier 2 or something like that? See, if they went to a smaller shop, they wouldn't need more than one cashier. Ah well.
It was a bit of a struggle, but he managed to get to the cold storage area where the drinks were. Now... Did he want something fizzy, a sports drink or beer... Hmm.

"...sure," Amsteria accepts Sienna's offer and lets loose some 2 to 3 blocks of fresheners, considering that Sienna herself was holding some sewing equipment. She looks up as Joakim exclaims his wish for a drink out in the cold shelves of the store, and calls out a 'roger that' to him. Sorting out the fresheners and waiting on the other to settle how things lay in their hands, she peers at the pricing and mentally calculated how much she would need to pay. Oh the price of good scents, she mused.
After assuring that Sienna was alright with her load, Amsteria leads them to the second cashier for check out. Joakim's a grown man who spent over 500 years wandering the human and dead world. Amsteria was 100% certain that he could handle getting a drink and walking out of here. After payments and more sorting of things in grocery bags, she stands outside the main body of the store against a wall, out of the way of the constantly moving people, near the exit. She keeps her gaze on the crowd among the aisles, looking out for a hulking red head.

Sienna accepted part of the load, shuffling it around so it was easier to carry everything she now had in her arms. She was glad to be useful and felt it paid her back to some degree for allowing her to tag along. Even if she wasn't the talkative sort she liked having other people around she knew weren't going to hurt her or something. Although she wasn't sure what she should do to repay Joakim for letting her join them. She'd just figure it out as she went. She glanced at Joakim as he mentioned finding a drink before turning back and following Amsteria to the cashier line. Like a stray cat she continued to trail after her and even joined her against the wall to wait. And as she always did after going somewhere she slipped her 3DS out to find she had two street passes and cheered quietly. "Yes~"

Paying up for the... small selection of drinks went by quickly enough, and it looked like Joakim found more than just a beer. Probably going to horde the drinks for later when he's too lazy to come back down to do more shopping. He seemed to look around, squinting at the crowd for threadless people, and when he found who he was looking for, he picked up the plastic bag half-filled with an assortment of drinks over to where the two ladies were. Sienna seemed pre-occupied with her DS, so Joakim instead addressed his fair-haired teammate.
"I got what I wanted," he said curtly, releasing one side of the bag so it would hang open in front of the businesswoman, "You want one?" soda, canned coffee(really Joakim??), alcohol, sweet tea... It would probably have been hilarious if someone was asked to guess whose shopping bag it was because honestly? Who expected the big guy to like bubble-gum flavored soda, anyway? "Sienna, if you want one, just say so." he extended the offer to the other woman, though there was a hint of disappointment in his tone.
*Sigh.*
They didn't have Ramune here.

Amsteria casts a glance at Sienna at the hiss of what seemed to be a 'yes', and watches her press buttons on the console that was sitting in her hands. She found it a bit funny that, with all the time in the dead world now, they could all take part in whatever it was they 'never had time for', whether or not it was in their time frame or otherwise. She never actually had a game console herself, and she was not one what people would call a 'gamer'. As Sienna continued to press buttons, Amsteria looks up and spots the red-headed viking paying for a small mound of drinks. Spotting them, he made a beeline through the horde of humans and their shopping carts.
Amsteria peeks into the bag that he offered, peering at the selection of beverages. Canned coffee? she muses, but steps back. "We're going in the same direction after all, Joakim. I'll make my pick later," she declined with a smile as he extended his offer to Sienna. She pulled out her pendant again and scrutinized it, checking the time.
The day was getting quite late, in an hour or so night would fall. Their two other teammates would be about ready to get back to the dorms...she would need to plant these fresheners before they get back. She could do it tomorrow, but heck where would she hide these in the meantime? Better settle the issue while it could be settled.
She tilts her head to the exit, at the darkening sky. "Ready to go back?"

Sienna glanced up from her DS to see Joakim had returned and was offering drinks. She was tempted to do her usual and decline the offer but he sounded kind of bummed out already so she went on ahead and nodded in agreement and peered into the sack hesitantly. Such an odd array of flavors and drinks. Bubblegum soda? That hardly sounded appetizing. Was it his? Or for a team mate. Her ever curious mind formulated a few possibilities within a short span of time before she decided how to ask without being too noisy. "I-is there anything you'd p-prefer I didn't d-drink?" She asked looking innocent and totally not as nosey as she was being.
She'd helped a lot in the kitchen when she'd been alive along her other numerous chores. And food had always been something she enjoyed reading about, tasting or just making it herself. So as she'd been stuck here following food trends and watching those horrific menu items form the past century. The whole world had some weird tastes and it was an endless stream of amusement. But she hadn't come across Bubble Gum soda. She was terribly curious now. Did it have gum qualities or was it just the flavor? And what brand of gum? Was it a generic gum flavor? or a particular brand. Her right hand twitched in curiosity as she refrained from reaching in and turning it to see the rest of the item's packaging.
And that wasn't the only mystery. What DID they have planned with so many air fresheners. Her analytical, mind was dying to know. But first the soda and glanced up to the lumberjack as she waited for a response.

"Just tell me if you want a drink," he said with a small shrug, managing a small smile in response to the smile she gave him. He watched her pull out her little owl watch as he turned to offer Sienna the drinks before turning to look outside and furrowing his brows slightly. Man, it really was getting dark... Eh, it wasn't like it was a big problem, to be quite honest. Just that if they were going home late, they might as well have dinner before they head back or something, if Ams had no objections to it, "Yeah, we'll leave in a sec," he replied to the silver-haired woman's question before shifting his attention to Sienna. He had to lean in slightly and listen somewhat closely, but he heard a question being directed at him.
The viking frowned slightly at the question, "...Even if you drank something I liked, there's nothing stopping me from going back to get another can or bottle or both." he answered plainly, shaking the bag slightly, "Seriously though, would it kill you to relax? I did ask if you wanted a drink. Wouldn't make sense for me to tell you there's something in here I don't want you touching." he watched her a little longer, and when she looked up at him, he asked her absently, "If you really want the bubble gum one just go ahead and take it already..." Joakim pursed his lips, unsure of what to say to the timid young lady in front of him.

Time was ticking and she was starting to get a liiiittle bit fidgety. Could she give the two the slip? She just needed to step outside the door and start plucking her chrysanthemum. It seems that they would both pretty much could continue to discuss for a while longer, and if it really did not pertain to anything that she could contribute to, she might as well leave to get other things done.
Amsteria decides to wait for another two minutes for Sienna to make up her mind, or perhaps provide a sort of pointer as to where this conversation was going. She stood with a hand in her pocket, the bag of fresheners hooked at the elbow of the her other arm.
Amsteria tried to not frown.
