Sienna was cleaning. A normal thing for the short, dark skinned female since she'd shown up at the HQ a couple hundred years or so prior. Since then she'd taken to keeping the place as clean as possible. It wasn't an easy job but she enjoyed it nonetheless. Cleaning the cracks on the walls or the obscure places everywhere had become her safe haven in this strange world. She took her duties here with the utmost sincerity always being sure to finish her share if not more when she was asked to. And now she kind of just did it on her own. If the place was looking more clean lately than usual it wasn't anyone's imagination. The short former house slave honestly enjoyed the work she was given and thus she tended to over preform what she was asked to do. Her quiet nature allowed her to go mostly unnoticed which was nice and allowed her to do that much more. It also led people to wonder who was getting things so darn sparkly in places. People rarely bothered her for things they needed which was nice. She did try to coordinate her cleaning with the work done elsewhere though, like not mopping her floors when she knew the gardeners would come tromping in with their muddy boots. It was a fulfilling job in a sense, performing the duties she'd have had had she lived her days to their fullness. At the moment she was on the floor of a massive hallway, brushing up some nasty sticky mess a mopping had failed to get up entirely. Both hands on her brush she used as much of her body as she could to brush the spot over and over, the bubbles sudding up in mass as she put her back into it. As she worked she whistled a little diddy and would move from that to a song or two and back to the whistling. She still had some things to do today but soon she'd be free to either start a new project or maybe leave the HQ to do something fun. But for now she was happy enough getting lost in her work.

[Salvia finished a reap order that had taken place in in a wet, muddy park and arrived back on the plane not too long ago, holding an ice cream cone in her hand. It was one of those weird flavors in a brilliant blue color that tasted surprisingly smooth and sweet. The ice cream occasionally dripped onto the chrysanthemum flowers and then onto the HQ floor as she strolled in, scouring the ground with mud and grass from her boots. The rubber soles sqeaked with shrill carelessless and echoed through the hallways. Loud music from her phone pounded in her ears as she sauntered to the direction of the dorms.]
[But surprise, surprise, Salvia stopped as she approached a familiar face. Behold the wonderful, the sincere, the most tolerable and least troublesome entity of her team: Sienna Stevenson. Salvia pulled out one of her earphones.] "'Sup, Sienna." [She casually nommed at her ice cream.]

The sound of feet coming across the hall didn't go unnoticed by the hard working female. But she was just so engrossed in cleaning the floor that she didn't look up. She was also quite used to her presence being glossed over which was perfectly fine with her. But as the walking halted she paused her scrubbing and then glanced up as her name was said. Oh Salvia....
Her golden eyes trailed slowly down her roommates person, noting the brilliant blue melting ice cream and then watched as it dripped down, her gaze following suit. Wordlessly she looked at her filthy shoes and at the trail of dirt, grass and ice cream she'd left in her wake. She had just scribbled this floor all afternoon. ALL AFTERNOON. Her grip on the brush tightened slightly as she fought to keep her cool. There was a slightly noticeable twitch just under her right eye as she struggled to retain her composure. This was Salvia, not Maxwell. She just had to keep in mind that it could've been so much worse.
"You um.... dripped...." She said simply gesturing to the floor and beyond and back the way she'd walked in. She was still fighting her inner monster but it was calm.... for now.

[Salvia stopped slurping her ice cream, blinked and glanced at where Sienna was poiniting.] "Ohhhhhhhhhhh--" [She slowly trailed her gaze down her cone, toward her boots, and carefully following the dirt tracks she made all the way from the entrance.] "--hhhhhhhhhh whoops. Um." [She looked back at Sienna, back at the ice cream, and nonchalantly held out the cone to her.] "You want a bite?"

Sienna's eye twitched again as she forced a small, subdued smile onto her face to hide her slowly boiling rage. She was used to this kind of treatment , at least she had been when she'd been alive. But ever since Maxwell had shown up she'd often found her perfect patience with everything wore thin at times. She'd have never even acknowledged the mess had she been back in her old home. She'd have just kept right on cleaning with no word. But here she wasn't supposed to let this kind of thing slide. But it often did and it probably would once again.
Ice cream was offered now and she could only stare blankly at it before sighing out her nose in annoyance. She stared at the obnoxious blue cream with a look of disinterest and shook her head. "No I have work to do... so I'll just k-keep working." And she would. It was just one person with some mess, not a legion of football players after a rainy spring practice. No this was nothing so bad. Besides, Alvia was a teammate. There was no need to be rude.

[Salvia was no professional at reading people's emotions, but Sienna looked kind of stressed. Maybe she ought to leave her alone. Or maybe . . . she quickly lapped the melting spots of her ice cream before speaking.] "You know where the broom closet is? I'll lend you a hand."
[As much as she liked Surya and Maxwell as though they were family, she can only admit to herself that they might be some of the most frustrating people she's ever met. Salvia greatly appreciated Sienna's quiet nature, and she had to constantly remind herself that the puzzle-loving girl probably had to put up with those two longer before she arrived. For that, Salvia respected Sienna and her tough tolerance. She can't imagine this seemingly humble girl ever snapping, but it's probably for the best. Now if only she remembered how to use a broom and a bucket . . .]

Sienna expected Salvia to do as most would and wander off the way she'd come and leave her to her work. Instead the dark-skinned woman glanced up as her team mate offered to help. "Um..." she said looking hesitant. Wouldn't it be rude to accept help when it wasn't even her job? Gently she sat back on her heels, releasing her sponge and let her hands sit neatly folded in her lap which she stared at intently. "I'm sorry if... I-I make it s-sound like I don't enjoy m-my work." She professed hoping that wasn't the case. In reality she loved this job. It was so easy to let all her worries and fears slip away while she cleaned. She'd even found her way into the kitchens form time to time to assist there or anywhere else she could be best utilized with her far ranging skill set. "Um so... if you are only being n-nice you don't have to help. I don't mind recleaning the h-hall." Finally she looked up and for the briefest of moments made eye contact and then looked away. She was getting better, honest. She rarely made eye contact with anyone, but her teammates were the few that she could do so with.

"You don't have to look after every mess other people make, kid. Even if it's your job here." [She paused to sloppily lick at her ice cream, trying to finish it quicker without attaining a brain freeze.] "I don't think it's fair that you have to do everything yourself. Especially since, well." [She gestured at the mud tracks.] "This is obviously my own mess I should be responsible for."
"Seriously, let me at least wipe up my own shit. Unless the broom closet is the secret portal to Narnia or something, I'll help you out. I don't have much else to do anyway."

Sienna wanted to protest further but stayed silent as Salvia tried to finish off her ice cream in record time. She'd seen people eating that stuff too fast, it generally ended in pain. Her hand twitched out to insist she slow down but again she said nothing. She wasn't a kid, far from it but as usual she kept her mouth shut. At the mention of the broom closet leading to Narnia she did manage a small chuckle and sighed seeming to give in finally. "Well I-I don't do everything by myself it... it just seems that way." She insisted, moving to stand so she could lead her to what she considered in a lot of ways 'Home Base'.
"I um... thanks." She said after a moment once she'd started leading the way. More silence on her part followed until she finally stood in front of where the House staff kept their things. Turning the knob she paused and glanced back shyly. "I wish it did you know.... lead to Narnia." Anything would be better than this existence most of the time. Once inside the room was neat and orderly like one would expect. Each section of the house was mapped out where people could take dibs on what they did and when. "The mops and buckets are over in that closet." She said gesturing to the left. "Everything we need is there." And then she stood quietly by the door, a shadow of a smile on her face as she waited patiently for Salvia to grab them.

[Salvia lapped up the remainder of of her ice cream, crunching away at the cone as she followed Sienna to the broom closet.]
"Hey, no problem, kid. Anything to avoid paperwork for at least another hour. That stuff's tedious to do," [she chuckled.] "It'd be awesome if it did. Imagine all the talking birds that would actually tolerate us there." [She grinned with amusement at Sienna. Licking up the sticky residue from her fingers, she poked her head inside. Geez, it looked enormous in there. What is this, Hogwarts instead? That TARDIS thing from that Doctor Who shindig?]
"Crap, I hope I don't get lost in here," [Salvia muttered as she stepped inside to find a good mop and bucket. Though there wasn't as much mud on her boots, little flakes of dirt and grass fell onto the floor as she trode in.] "So, um, any kind of soap I should be using?"

Sienna had to admit paperwork was fairly lame. Not that she hated it when she did need to do it, but it just didn't give her as much of a sense of fulfillment as cleaning did. She said nothing on the subject though and simply gestured to the well organized wall. Every section had a label and a place. The mopping soap and shine polish was in it's proper spot beside the floor wax which they didn't need today. "Just the soap and the floor polish." She said with a nod. She smiled a little bit, still imagining how much fun it would be to find Narnia in here one day.

[Salvia picked out a bucket of decent condition and squirted two strong shots of mopping soap into it. And added an extra smaller squirt for good measure.] "Do I also add in the floor polish or is that for later?" [She grabbed a nearby mop and weighed its worthiness in her hands.]

He walked at a relatively even pace across the floor, carrying a small stack of books. An assortment of paperwork files and library materials he had to give back. The boy wasn't in a hurry, but he wanted to get these out of his hands as soon as possible.
Peeking into the next room, he saw it was empty. What he didn't see was the mess on the floor. It didn't even register when he felt it wet under his feet - he just wanted to get through to the other side and on his way. Though his haste let him down, quite literally.
Owen's feet slipped and gave way. The books in his hands clattered on the floor and almost did a faceplant himself. He landed on his shoulder instead, giving a yelp when he felt the cold floor through his sleeves. At this point it wasn't the pain that was annoying him, it was the floor. A cold and wet floor.

"Yes just add them together. The s-soap will clean the dirt and grime and the floor p-polish will do it's job as it dries." Sienna replied for the most part confident in her job and the delivery. Wasn't too much else she could be that way about. She watched Salvia choose a mop and then headed back out so she could collect her things up and out of the way. But upon returning to the hall she spotted someone laying on the ground and the ice cream and dirt that had already been tracked in was distributed further. While she was indeed annoyed to see her floor further sullied the person did look to be injured and as she walked over to assist she realized it was that odd young man she'd met a few times. "Oh dear, a-are you alright?" She asked looked hesitant and concerned as she gave him a hand to get off the floor. His clothes were a messy mix of blue and smudgy brown in places along with being wet. The poor dear. She hadn't put up a proper caution sign and now he might be hurt because of it. She was usually far more careful.

[Salvia poured in some floor polish as instructed. She swished the bucket around to mix the solution as she exited the closet with the mop in her other hand, quietly following Sienna back to their destination.]
[Before she realized and was about to ask Sienna where to get the water for the bucket, she noticed the poor unfortunate soul lying on the ground where they left from. Books and paper were strewn about the floor, some smudged with the dirt and grime from her shoes and past novelty. The young man himself had spots of blue and dark brown staining his clothes, as well as pain and frustration sticking to his demeanor.] "Ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Whoops."
[She walked forward to the fallen apprentice (ha ha, jokes are great) and set the bucket down, extending her free hand toward him.] "Need a lift, buddy?"
