New York City this time of year was always dreary. Grey skies, cold weather....night coming quicker...Saoirse didn't exactly enjoy the winter so much in this bustling city. Neither did she enjoy walking back from a bar in the tourist areas to the subway where the roadway back to her apartment awaited. She walked quick and concise, attempting to dodge those who didn't get the memo that their group really should not try to take up the entirety of the sidewalk...tourists.
If anything, at least the lights of the city made everything more merry, neon signs everywhere she looked that helped distract her from the white threads that blurred when she attempted to ignore them. That was always a plus. It also pleased her that she wasn't called to go investigate a report when she was possibly a little bit buzzed and ready to crawl into her bed as soon as she returned home.
Then again, wouldn't surprise her if she had bad enough luck that she'd have to rush back out of her apartment once inside to deal with a case. But that was the life of a police detective it seemed...and she chose to do it.

Sen wasn't partial to winter, anywhere. he hated the cold. And having been born in South America that made a lot of sense. He'd had a time adjusting to life up north when he'd arrived there but the pros far outweighed the cons. Which by cons he meant the cold, that and of course being away from home.
Padding down the sidewalk with no real purpose he spotted a familiar old building he'd always enjoyed chucking rocks at. So with little hesitation he reached down to snag a small stone and chucked it into the glass. It crashed in a way that always pleased him and fell to the ground. The people in the surrounding area all stopped to look, some cringing or ducking down, expecting some kind of debris to come falling on their heads. No one had been near it of course but it still amused the man as he picked up another one. Most people didn't even look his way most days so this kind of prank was so darn easy to pull off. Just to prove it he pulled his arm back to wind up for another good toss.

Saoirse shivered as she walked, bundling more into the plain black coat that she wore. Damn, she should have worn ear muffs or something. She didn't realize the wind chill was going to get that bad. At least when she got home she could take a hot shower and drink something nice and hot before falling asleep.
The sound of a rock crashing into glass reached Saoirse's ears, her body tensing, as she glanced in the direction of where it was coming from with fiery eyes. While others looked away and forgot soon after, Saoirse's eyes would stay glaring at the short darker skinned man picking up another rock. That must have been what the sound was, him throwing those rocks against the building's windows. Seriously, isn't that something a kid would do?
"HEY!" Saoirse yelled out at the prankster, fast walking up to Sen. "What the hell did this building ever do to you? And do you know how much it costs for people to put up new windows?" she asked, her tone like cold steel and her gaze like fire that danced in those amber eyes of hers, with the jarring faint smell of whiskey on her breath.

Sen expected some yelling sure, but not directed at him. Ice blue eyes snapped quickly to the source. An enraged and very much living woman was striding towards him with purpose. Uh oh~ Instead of looking scared or bothered though a small impish grin spread across his face. He halted his second rock throw though and instead tossed the projectile up into the air a few times as he took stock of this female who was obviously sensitive to this weird in between plane of existence.
"The building? Hm it didn't do a darn thing to me babe. As for how much it would cost heck if I know. I'm not worried about it. I'm just having a little fun." He tossed the rock into the air again, playfully catching it and standing there like he was innocent of her supposed crimes.

Oh this brat did not just call her babe. Saoirse keeps her hands in her coat pockets, one gripping something she kept on her for self defense while the other just clenched into a fist. "Well it costs a hell of a lot of money asshole..your little bit of fun could cost the people who have to replace those windows hundreds or thousands of dollars." She'd keep her gaze on Sen, although she would note how he'd throw the rock up into the air like a smug little shit. What a brat. "I think they'd appreciate it if you did not have to make them buy new windows....and I would really appreciate it if you didn't call me babe. How old are you anyway....15?"

The rage flowing off this woman was spectacular. It only made his grin creep further up his face, making his squinted eyes that much narrower. He continued to toss the rock, tauntingly, teasingly and knowing full well that every time it made it back to his hand she was getting more upset. Ah yes. he didn't get to interact with living women much these days. A real shame. not that the dead ones were bad of course. Far from it. But still there was something still instinctively fun about harassing someone who had a life to live.
"Well that's a real shame, but like I said, it's not my problem, babe." He called her as such despite her vehement demands that he stop it. "Besides they're all old and rotted and stuff anyhow, Who gives a crap if I knock 'em out. The way I see it I'm saving them on some extraction fees~" His voice was light, airy and unphased by her angry words but the smile vanished at the fifteen year old comment. "Well then, while I am on the short side I'm actually twenty four." he leaned forward a little with a dark smile shadowing his expression before continuing. "And If you think I'm bad now my fifteen year old self would had you ripping all that lovely hair out of your head."

Unfortunately for him, Saoirse was not getting angrier at Sen because of the rock he kept tossing up and down in his hand, but because of his inconsiderate nature. "I'm sorry, I'm pretty sure those windows are not old and rotted. They look pretty new to me, and besides, how would you know how much it costs for the extraction fees vs the cost for new windows? Looks to me like you're just trying to find an excuse."
His fading smile that turned into a rather darker smile did not phase Saoirse, on the contrary, she seemed much more alert and in control than she had before. "24 huh...well you certainly don't act like your age...and seeing that you are not a minor you do know that you can be arrested for destruction of public property right?" Saoirse asked, a slyness trinkling into her words, as if she was threatening him. "I really would stop if I were you. Maybe do something not as destructive to other people's property like go to a bar or a club. Seems like your kind of scene."

Sen just cackled softly at her rebuttal and shrugged his shoulders. "Oh they're not?" He asked with a mock gasp of surprise as he looked up. His hand flew up to touch his cheek. "Oh me oh my, what ever shall I do!" The expression vanish form his face after that and his cheeky grin returned. "I don't have an excuse. I wanted to bust a few windows and so I did."
An eye brow twitched up as she started mentioning not being a minor and now she was threatening him with arrest?! ARREST?! He tried to hold his composure but he lost in the end and sputtered out an obnoxious laugh that lasted a few moments before he spoke once more, his voice laced with unveiled amusement. "Well well, a woman on the force. Isn't that just beautiful. Well then my fair cop lady please do clap me in irons and take me to jail." To add to his sarcastic offer he held his hands up together in front of her. "Just don't put 'em on too tight okay babe? I'm delicate and playing rough isn't really my thing." He waggled his eyebrows at her suggestively because everything eh'd done already wasn't bad enough.

Well, he was a little shit...but he was observant...smartass. Of course, that didn't stop Saoirse, no way, especially when he kept making suggestive remarks at her. So he's a flirt too...great. "Why don't I make a call to my fellow police buddies and they can take you back to jail? I'm sure you would love to hang out with them....one of them is just as much of a little shit as you are and he's younger by two years," she'd reply, smirking at his hands that were right out in front of him. "And the other...well I'm sure he'd love to make sure you're as comfortable as possible. So, how about it...should I call my buddies to come pick you up or would you rather just stop destroying public property and find something else to do?"

Sen just stood there idly as she spoke, threatening him with more law enforcement. Really he wasn't worried. it was hard to be as much when you were dead after all. Unless it was hunters which he didn't even fathom with her. he had no idea hunters could be living. As she continued he rocked back and forth on his feet a bit bored at this prospect. "Hm well I'd much rather have a solo ride to the station with you. Why call your buddies when you can take me yourself? Oh wait, that's right, you've been boozing~ What are you, off duty?" He asked smiling away at this whole situation. He took a moment to look her over since he hadn't quite had the chance.
Plain, plain, plain. Why so plain? "You know you could spice up your look with a nice red scarf or some killer red pumps. A pop of color can go a long way babe." But no worries that fiery personality is working just fine from where I stand."

Saoirse's expression quickly turned into a scowl at the mention of her drinking. Why the fuck should that matter to him? "Because they're the assholes that are supposed to be out here arresting your ass right now that's why. And so what if I've been drinking? I'm not in uniform, and I'm not arresting you myself so it doesn't matter." Saoirse would reply, snapping at him as she glared at him. She'd let out a sigh and then have her eyebrow twitch at his comment. "Why do you care about what I wear? You're not the one wearing the clothes."

Sen laughed, the action a bit less rude this time around. "Hey hey take it easy babe. Obviously you take your profession very seriously and I can totally appreciate that. But in your line of work no one can be everywhere and catch everything." His shoulders shrugged a bit at her heated display. So fiery. He really did enjoy that quality. It was just endless fun. "And nothing wrong a with a drink or two, especially in this weather. So instead of you wasting your time bothering your work buddies why not let me buy you a drink for getting your panties into a bunch." He avoided the probing question on her clothes for now.

"If I go out and have you buy a drink will you stop throwing rocks at the poor windows?" She asks, sighing. Not that she is giving up and letting him win, it's just that this seems like the easiest way to compromise. Get him to stop being a lil shit by taking her somewhere and buying her a drink. It's a win-win situation for her. "And my name isn't babe...please stop calling me that. The name is Saoirse."

"Well of course I would. What reason could I possibly have to deface property if I can get a drink with a femme fatale instead?" Sen replied with a jovial tone. His hands were shoved in his pockets as she corrected his name calling. It was a good way to get a name when a woman wasn't willing to give it as easily. "Saoirse, Oh that's a nice name. It rolls off the tongue so strangely." He replied looking pleased. "You can call me Sen." He glanced away and around. "So you got a bar preference?" he asked gesturing to nowhere but obviously giving her the option to choose.

Femme Fatal…really? Saoirse would roll her eyes at Sen, glancing around to see what bars were in the area. “Yeah, weird name I know,” she stated, shrugging. Not that Sen was any better but hell who was she to complain. “Good to know your name Sen,” continuing to look around before bringing her eyes back to Sen. “Don't really have a preference for a bar, although if we go down the street a bit I’m pretty sure we’ll run into one.”
