The game sounded like so much fun when the idea was offered. A simple Nerf War to unwind after the days activities. If anything, it thrilled Lorelei even more because it meant she was doing something truly physical. The "battle field" was set through the halls of the dorm building to keep things a bit more fair, while the time was later in the evening to make sure everyone who wanted to play, could. Each person got to pick two weapons from the collection of Nerf guns with plenty left over in case something broke or someone else decided they wanted to join in. Leaving the guns behind in Lorelei's room with the door wide open, it was time to separate. Each team wore a piece of red or orange to differentiate them and Lorelei was beyond ready.
Imagining herself as a hero from an action movie, Lorelei picked two small guns for either hand.
---
Her back was against the wall, breathing hard with her gun held up. The enemy was good. Too good. She wasn't sure she would make it out of this in one piece. Closing her blue eyes tight, she tapped the gun against her head and felt the cool plastic through the red cloth tied around her forehead. This was no time for staling. Soon they'd find her. It wasn't like she was properly hidden, she had simply bolted around a corner and pressed herself against the wall. She didn't know where the rest of her team was. It was down to the wire. She knew she'd have to fight.
Pulling out her phone, she pressed a few buttons to play the theme from "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly", letting it echo through the hall. Trying to neither smile, nor laugh, Lorelei was excited. Post order and teams:
LolitaClown: Lorelei | Red ivesofmarch: Eva | Orange fishbowlhead: Yue | Red AllThatGlitters: Marion | Red TheRenaissanceMan: Alessio | Orange Pins-n-needles: Eilis |Orange deafowl| Gilles | Orange Painttheworld| Shiroki | Red

It had always been most fascinating how the realm of the living continued to create all sorts of things for entertainment. Back when she had been alive a toy version of a weapon with this level of function would have never been a thing. Eva would examine over the toy guns. Hmph, well, there wasn't much better to do the moment until she received more assignments to reap. Nothing like these sorts of games to pass the time with.
It had been quite the game so far with foam projectiles going back and forth, but not one with enough opportunity for the sabotage that she so enjoyed. As Eva walked through the hall, she would blink upon hearing the echo of music. What was that? Something for dramatic effect? The woman would chuckle and shift her stance, ready to fire upon whoever showed themselves next.

It really shouldn't have come to a surprise to Yue that she seemed to be one of the most targeted victims. Fast she was, practical fashion choices though? Never. The fish bowl she donned seemed to be a popular target practice for others, so much in fact the short girl could barley see because every time she took one off it was like a signal for others to shoot in 10 more on. So her she was wandering around like a blind idiot trying to find a teammate to help her.
Her ears perked to the sound of western music being played loudly, maybe she could take advantage of the crowd it was sure to draw? hands griping tighter on the large nerf gun in her hands she snuck quietly towards the noise.

Marion had NO idea how to play this game. In fact, the last time she played she had been ambushed within the first few minutes of the game and had accidentally lost her gun in the scuffle. Despite this, she was eager to play more. Her aim was a little lacking, and she tended to forget to stay quiet, but she enjoyed the thrill of the game and the ability to unwind from everything. Besides, someone had let her bedazzle the gun, and it sparkled rather nicely.
When Marion heard the music, she almost forgot they were playing again. She hurried forwards, trying to locate the sound until she realized- Hm. Maybe this was a ploy to draw her out. Perhaps it was in her best interest to avoid the scuttle. Or- She eyed the surrounding hallways- perhaps this was her best chance to figure out how to fire this thing. She'd have to keep on alert.

Alessio was dragged from his bed to hear of war. Nerf war, to be perfectly clear. The other apprentices had planned it, as a sort of game. Ugh. He felt as if he had fallen asleep only hours ago. What did he do last night? Had he stay up late to finish something? At this point he couldn't remember, and the excited chatter outside of the upcoming Nerf war didn't help. He stumbled out of bed, barely glancing at the clock. It was noon then. Hmm. The game would start soon. He didn't have any plans, or so he thought, and a game sounded fun?
Hmm....
Oh alright. He groaned as he made his way forward, slipping into pair of sandals and opened the dorm's door. He glanced back at the messy room and smiled, it was time for war. ----- If Alessio played a game, he would try to play it smart. In this kind of game, the game of toy guns and foam bullets, picking off your opponents seemed the smartest. He advanced, his back pressed to the wall, crouched down the the floor. He had shot a few "Reds" not many, but seeing as he hadn't shot a toy gun in ages, a few was pretty good. He just shot another when he heard something... Music? Who was playing music right now? He tried to remember the faces he saw at sign up, and quite a would. Hmm....
This wouldn't end well.

Nerf war? War never changes... Wait...Wrong game. The sound of the game seemed a bit silly. Role playing as if in battle, shooting the enemy team as strategic as possible... Foam rounds darting across the halls; some with suction cups. Other with velcro, and most, normal. Battling wasn't typically her thing, but with no assignments to carry out, why not give this strange nerf war a chance. It's all fun and games after all.
"Puff... puff..." Hard to take steady breathes, Eilis rest her head against the corner walls behind her. Stationed in a perfect spot to shoot as she caught her breath... then again, if the wrong person caught her. Bang. Music began to flood the halls, catching Eilis off gaurd. Her eyes rolled knowing to not give in to curiousity. Sadly, this would be completely out of character. The plastic nerf shotgun in hand, Eilis drew deep breaths easing her body forward. She could do it... even with out back up? What the hell. Eilis had the opportunity to take chances.

Everyone seemed to be far more into the game than Lorelei expected...or at least, she assumed they were. Maybe that was just her own enjoyment clouding her mind as she thought of as many stories as she could. Maybe she was a detective three days from retirement? Or a no-nonsense cop on the commissioners last nerve? Well, with this music, she would have to be a cowboy. Turning back to her phone, she quickly changed the song to the James Bond theme as she heard a collection of footsteps coming her way. That was far too many to be just the other team...did her own team hear the song too? Tucking her phone into her shirt so the song still played loud, she prepared for another fight. Holding both guns in either hand, Lorelei stepped into the center of the hall, looking as serious and dramatic as she possibly could. Looking straight at...what was her name again? Eva? That was it. Looking straight at Eva, Lorelei narrowed her blue eyes. "I've been expecting you, Mister Bond." she said, a hint of giddiness in her tone as she took aim and fired.

Without hesitation, the moment she saw something enter her vision she would aim, a response trained from years spent using firearms. But upon hearing the music change, yet again she would raise a brow. So this girl before her was the reason for the seemingly out of place music. First from a classic shoot 'em to now a spy theme? How amusing. Upon hearing the click of the gun, she would prepare to side step and retaliate in return. One thing was clear from that regardless: This was a foe she was faced with and if her experience had taught her anything, it would be that Lorelei would not necessarily be without allies close by.

You know this whole nerf gun what situation turned out a whole lot smoother in her head, Yue was going be an assassin, hit targets from the shadows, out of sight, out of mind, like a cold, sharp wind in the fall wind. But fate decided she be clunking along down the halls. It was really inevitable she ran into someone in the literal sense. She squeaked in surprise at the impact feeling a smack impressions of sequins and tassels before gravity smacked her on the ground "Sorry!"

Marion felt a body knock her to the ground and went sprawling, "Hey!" She exclaimed, grasping for her gun and fumbling around for a while before a rain of foam bullets hit the girl on top of her, "AH HA!" She grinned, happy she had finally done some right. But... Oh. It was Yue, and she was on her team, "Oh. Oh, sorry Yue. I thought... You were... Darn it!" She sat up and offered the other girl a smile, "So, have you been able to hit anyone? Not quite as literally?"

Alessio inched forward, glancing over at his surroundings. He was in the clear for now. A smile quirked his lips, as a thought crossed his head. He could always play spy? Just for a moment. He knew better, but still, it was tempting... He had seen all those old bond movies... once upon a time. Hmm. Nah. He wouldn't . No, he shouldn't. Maybe for a moment. He hummed one of those action theme songs under his breath, place the toy gun near his chest and barrel rolled to the across of the hallway, and pulled out the gun when he final stopped the rolling.
"Bang!" He muttered under his breath, his eyes shut, as he pretended to shoot at an imaginary villain. His eyes fluttered open, and that's when he saw someone had seen him.
Oh god no.

The word "nerf" was foreign to him, but he understood "war" perfectly fine. In all honesty, he wouldn't have ever fathomed a friendly game of gun shooting between him and the other apprentices. Gilles turned one of the two plastic guns he had retrieved from Lorelei's room and tossed it in the air, adjusting himself to the light-weightedness. He gave a silent chuckle, before he was interrupted by two unfamiliar tunes and a distant shriek. Instinctively, he crouched low even thought it would have proven quite useless given that there was little space to really, really hide. This was just a game, he reminded himself.
Back to the wall, Gilles stalked over to the next hallway intersection before making the turn.
At that moment, he was met wish a plastic gun pointed in his direction, accompanied by quite an enthusiastic "bang" from the young man before catching eye of a swab of orange cloth.
"Oh, no, you've the wrong man, don't you think?" He asked, arms up in a pretend surrender as he shot a closed-eye smile.

Shiroki had probably joined in on a whim, not very clear on the concept of guns or shooting games, granted he's never actually seen a gun before. They weren't very common back where he was from. But he did remember shooting things through straws so same thing right. He crouched low on a corner hall, holding the smaller nerf gun of his directly up to his face, and the other much larger one strapped around his back.
He could hear others exchanging words just around the bend, and gave a small peek to see wh-- orange. He hid again and looked at his own team colour to correct himself. Definitely the enemy. Shiroki wasn't sure he could take on two of them though.
He looked over his shoulder to check without much hope if any of his teammates were in sight, but he didn't notice any yet. S-should he keep low and wait? But they might come this way.. He made sure his nerf was loaded just in case.

Trying not to giggle, Lorelei aimed another shot before bolting back behind her wall. "You'll never take me alive!" she said, quickly pulling out her phone to put on a playlist of action movie themes. Now, standing still, the Mission Impossible theme replaced the James Bond, and Lorelei couldn't help but laughing. "I'll take you down first, and then, the rest of the world! You'll never stop me!" she yelled before turning to shoot once more and running the instant the shot fired. She would surely be hit by any shot the other fired, but Lorelei was lost in her imagination, playing pretend. Maybe being a super villain suited her better than a hero? No, not with this outfit on. She was far too cute to be a villain...maybe an accomplice? Yes! Of course! She'd be the charming seductress that makes the hero lose his focus, the one who almost makes him switch sides and at the last moment, he recovers! That would be her, of course! So lost in her own imagination, Lorelei wasn't paying attention at all to where she was going and ran straight into a wall, hitting it hard enough for it to vibrate through the surface and echo louder than even her music. Falling back, Lorelei was stunned for a moment, staring up at the ceiling. Totally not the hero. Maybe the bumbling sidekick.

Yue laid uselessly on the ground as someone pelted nerf bullets at her, she made a noise between a straggled choke of surprise and a groan of frustration. The feminine voice sounded distantly familiar, she rolled it around in her head for a while before pining it to Marion, the cute flapper girl...on her team. "It's okay, sorry for bumping into you I just can't really see right now..." Yue began plucking the new bullets off of hr bowl, at least the ones she could touch.
"I got a couple in the beginning before they realized was pretty easy to hit with this thing on," she pointed to the affronting head ware " and when it was covered in nerf bullets I couldn't say a tootin thing, how about you?"
