It was a bit of a disappointment that the closest dispenser did not dispense true hot milk. It had many variations of tea, though, from plain old tea to earl grey latte. Amsteria watched as Grim squinted at all the labels, but as he did not seem to be particularly flailing, she left him to his own devices until he eventually picked one. At least his motor skills still remained and he remembered to put the cup under the output tap. Amsteria was somewhat glad that these machines did not actually function on money. They seem to constantly be paid.
A few clunks as machinery expanded from heat, a hiss and fshhhhh as the machine poured the standard ration of the drink into the cup.
Amsteria flipped her phone out and looked at the time. 4.15 am. The time seemed to have slowed slightly now that things have actually slowed down. She looks up as Grim offered his drink. She could smell lemon wafting out of the cup. For a moment she contemplated it, and as another minute or two passed she finally walked over and pulled a different styrofoam cup from the machine.
"Sure," she replied, holding the empty cup out. If he intended to share, she would at least prefer to keep his drink as untouched as possible.

"...ok." His grin dropped as he gazed at her in an unamused manner for a moment. If anything, the blonde expected the lady to simply sip the tea, and pass it back. Was there a standard procedure as to how much he had to pour over to her empty cup? Too little would put him off as a miser, and too much would certainly be overwhelming. He was starting to regret offering, but he still understood her reason for hygiene. For crying out loud, he's a medic.
Resuming a smile, he passed her the tea, saying, "You can take how much you want." He didn't entirely trust himself with pouring hot drinks given his tired state. Rubbing his eyes slowly, he fished out his phone and checked his forehead with little focus. The blood had dried but a little smudged across his forehead from the careless wipe. Better get that washed before his other team-mates question it in the morning...
"...and you're coming back with me after this. Rest, for Christ sake..." He muttered audibly, in a subtle pleading tone. If she was thinking of going off again after this, he would be fairly mad and disappointed. Mostly disappointed.

Ah...it seemed that she would need to explain some of her habits to her teammates. She keeps forgetting that not everyone would have the same conventions to certain things such as sharing drinks. Amsteria was going to apologize the moment Grim's grin turned to a frown, but he had already passed the cup to her before she could say something.
She tightens her grip near the opening of the cup, distorting its shape into a narrow oval. Carefully, she pours the liquid out into her own cup. Just a small stream, and it was suffice. Amsteria gives the remaining drink back to Grim, sighing at his request.
"Alright, alright. The sooner we finish this drink the sooner we'll get to go sleep," she mumbles back, lifting her share to her lips. It was merely a swig or two, she did not intend to take too much. The lemon tasted fresh, a bit sour, the tea slightly sweeter than what she would have preferred. Amsteria tosses the used cup into a nearby bin, and glanced at her phone clock again.
4.30 am.
There was enough time for a short wink or two. She waits for Grim to finish his drink before starting to walk back to the room.

"That's more like it..." He replied in a pleasant tone, as he retrieved his drink. With a few quick blows on the surface, he sipped a little. Bit by bit, every mouth was more and eventually he was simply gulping down the hot drink. It was fairly plain, with a tint of sweet freshness. The effect was immediate; his entire system was warmed... a little too warm perhaps. It drove away a little sleepiness in fact.
Exhaling in an exaggerated manner, he gave a good toss, scoring his empty cup into the bin. "Let's go then..." With a few steps behind Amsteria, he was rather amused by her confident way of walking and briefly mimicked her posture before they reached the door.
Click. The door was unlocked, but the two older men were still sound asleep. A faint snoring sound could be heard from their distance and Grim merely smiled. Now they could finally... rest...
"You can go in first. I need to wash this off..." He whispered softly to his team-mate, pointing at his forehead. Grim recalls that there was a basin outside of the floor restroom that he could do a quick wash. It wasn't far, but further down, the corridors were darker. And scarier. The blonde fidgeted with unease, trying to brush it off as an irrational fear. Vivid imagination could get out of hand with late nights.

The silence of the night became more apparent when they stepped into the room. The light snores, the lack of light save the moonlight filtering through the room's window. The upper bunk bed above Shorinaga's beckoned for Amsteria to slip in and spend the rest of the dwindling night away in slumber.
Grim's whispering caught her attention, however, and she turned to him as he mentions about going somewhere to wash his head off. If it was what she remembered, the only closest washbasin of any sort was far down the way she came, which was pretty much...quite void of rooms. There were lights, of course, but at some point the walls came together and blocked off sufficient light to make it look very dark. Walking down the corridor should be easy, but she noticed that the German was fidgeting, despite what he said.
Every person had their own demons, she supposed. "Do you need some company?" she asked quietly. She could probably leave him be, but that would be too cold too soon. If he needed it, she would gladly follow.

His instinctive response was to decline. He couldn't possibly ask a frail lady for company because of his own dumb imagination, but it was really late... or early. It was difficult to maneuver in the darkness, with his blurry vision. The chances of gaining another injury seemed high. Plus, Amsteria... wasn't exactly a frail lady.
"...If you insist, I wouldn't mind company..." Grim looked away, rubbing the back of his neck. Having second thoughts, he was beginning to wonder if he should even go down the hallway. It was a terrible time to be awake, frankly. He would usually sleep soundly through the night or be out entirely and this was never a problem. Resting his hand on her shoulder finally, he gave her a half-hearted smile.
"Perhaps not. Some mineral water can clear this..." He sighs a bit, dragging his feet towards the dispenser once again. Squinting tiredly, he turned back to Amsteria, pointing at the blurry words and prompted, "Do you mind...?"

She was somewhat glad that he decided not to approach the restrooms at this time of the morning, as a longer trip would just mean a slower approach to actually sleeping in bed. She shrugs at his affirmation, a nonchalant movement that neither depicts disdain nor joy. She was fine with it, either way. Once more, she steps outside into the hall.
Thankfully this dispenser was not far from the door, and it had, indeed, water listed as one of the dispensable tings. Grim hovered over it for a moment before he turned, asking for some help. The tabs glowed in the fading light, and Amsteria pressed the one marked with a brand of mineral water. As a bottle clunked in the pick-up bin, she rummaged in one of her inner blazer pockets and produced a napkin. Picking up the bottle, she twisted it open and handed both the open bottle and the napkin to Grim.
She was pretty certain the scratch was not serious, but in the pit of her stomach she felt...a little bit of guilt. She stuck her hands in her pockets, and shifted her weight on her legs.
"Look...I'm sorry about what transpired tonight," Amsteria murmurs. She was apologizing mostly for the consequences of her actions, in which it led to Grim scraping his head. Although she could be cold, she really preferred to not maim her teammates while she was at it. One hand escaped its pocket and runs through her hair as she sighs at length.

Grim gave word of thanks as he was handed the bottle and napkin. Covering the opening with the napkin, he gave it a quick swish before resting the bottle on the ground. "It's alright, it's not your fault. You're nice." At this point, he was just saying his thoughts directly off his mind, not really caring and processing for formalities nor coherency. Pushing his fringe back, he carefully wiped his forehead repeatedly.
"Rest.. We need some rest..." He continued on with a few weak chuckles. Hopefully he didn't sound mental. Breathing in slow but deep breaths, the man capped up the bottle and put his hands on her shoulders before pushing them both back to their dorm. He was hardly putting in much energy and he was silently glad that Amsteria wasn't resisting. "Amsteria, we can discuss this tomorrow... or later today..." Grim reassured softly, putting his hands down. He wasn't sure if she still wanted to clear up anything, but he was all ears. Just not now. Perhaps after a few hours of sleep. Resting the bottle on the desk, he gave her a final pat on the back, finally taking his eyes off her. The time on his phone had mercilessly continued, squeezing out what little time he had for a wink.
4.45AM
With a yawn, the blonde basically toppled on his bed, with soft murmuring of "Good night, Ams..." before sleep claimed him.

Grim had a point, nudging her back to the room and muttering things half-asleep. She watched as he flopped in bed to immediately start breathing lightly. Amsteria shrugged again, this time continuing to take off her blazer and hanging it on one of the bunk bed posts, clambering up to her bed silently and just laying there for a while. Dawn was approaching, but she was not exactly tired. In the near-silence of the room, Amsteria begins to wonder about things that usually occur at the edges of her peripheral vision. She mentally looks through them, mentally making connections, organizing the thoughts. They were all not that important to keep in memory, but it was a habit that she did to acknowledge things that happen around her, even if she was incapable of producing any sort of immediate response to it. As time continued to pass, and her thoughts became more organized, Amsteria finally feels tired. By the time she reached the thoughts for the night, she had drifted off to sleep. 5 am. --------------------------------------------RP END--------------------------------------------
