Coming from a time where private lines at home, or at work, were almost unheard of the dawn of the internet was no small kick. Even with the jets I found it hard to keep up with the flashing colors till about ten years ago when they smoothed the whole process. During all of that I ran across a type of video-game online called "Room Escape Games" or "Point-and-Click". Some are pretty easy, but most will make your head spin! Call me a nerd, but I really dig being able to explore new places with the click of a button (plus its easier on your wallet). Has anyone else tried them out or played them? Here are a few series/game I recommend; Crimson Room

Oh puzzles!
Oh these looks fantastic! I'll have to play these right away~ And there's nothing wrong with enjoying this sort of thing I tend to spend a majority of my time doing just that.
Are you by chance a fan of the Layton games? Sure they come with a price tag but there's usually well over 120 puzzles and they release daily ones for a year so that's about 485 puzzles for the price of a system and a game of course.

The crimson room...I've played it before. I always got stuck...
If you like point and click games, I'd suggest the Alice is Dead Trilogy. I personally don't find much merit in the mystery, but the atmosphere and art are quite interesting. The creators also have a few other notable titles. Hood is a pretty interesting one if AiS caught your fancy.
Into any horror games? I find the best escape games have at least a little sense of horror...

Ah...room escape games, quite a nice time waster. Wrings the brain like a lemon. I've played through the Submachine series. The whole thing had a nice eerie feel for a Flash game. I vaguely remember that one edition where there was something like a monster in the sewers hahahaha
At any rate, I keep up with the genre and there's been quite a bunch released on the iOS. Sometimes I borrow my friend's iPhone (which conveniently has the game) to wiggle myself out of rooms. Games like those scattered all over the Internet these days (thanks to apps and all), and if you're up for it, google up 'escape the room'. It'll be hits and misses, but you'll find one or more.
