Sienna was working, as usual. She found some solace in her work and it was easy to distract herself from any problems or issues by just losing herself in her cleaning. Vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, moping and of course laundry. Today she was beating out some rugs outside in the gardens. One of the much older apprentices didn't like the what the vacuums did to her rugs so she usually took them outside to clean them for her. it was a nice excuse to be outside. Kind of like a break only she was still working. Once this was done though she was free for the day, it was nice to end her work on a high note.
he only problem was once she was done she'd have nothing to keep her distracted. She could seek out her teammates but she hated to be a bother when she was feeling so needy. She'd been deal with a lot lately but the desire to not being a pain overcame her desire for companionship. She just hated to be annoying. So instead she tried to beat out the rest of her woes by swatting the rug repeatedly, watching as dust flew off the rough fabric and into the air to be swept away by the summer breeze.

There hadn't been much to do today, well, he did have some plans but they hadn't worked out because he couldn't seem to find Maxwell...or anyone else that he knew that might be willing to come along on a nice HQ mapping adventure. So he went by himself. Which was a bit of a bummer. Really he' have liked to have some company today.
SMACK. SMACK. SMACK.
Squinting against the nice weather getting in his eyes after having come around that nice shadowy corner of the building Walter watched Sienna for a few beats to the rug that sent the dust flying.
“...Did the rug hurt you Sisi?” he had meant to ask if she stumbled in it and injured herself, but her expression was so stern that his mind jumbled it together with the thought of someone getting a beating for being naughty.

Sienna halted in mid swing as a voice questioned her actions. What? It took her a moment to realize it was Walter who had happened upon her rug beating. "Oh Walter, h-hello." She greeted kindly and allowed the racket to drop to her side. His question finally processed in her mind and she shook her head no and smiled in amusement at his assumption. "I'm c-cleaning it." She explained. Which probably seemed strange to him.
"Ah um... one of t-the older apprentices... s-she doesn't like what the v-vacuum does t-to her rugs s-so I beat them f-for her." She added hoping that made some sense to him. "Did... you want t-to try?" She asked and held the rackets handle out to wards him should he wish to.

"Must be a very, very old person not to like vacuums..." he squinted, making it look like he had just thought up a rude thing to add at the end of it, but actually having enough control over his spontaneous mind to stop himself from saying it out loud. In response to her question Walter squinted even harder at Sienna handing him the racket, the expression not quite matching up with the carefree tone of "Yeah, sure. It sounds like fun."
Despite having the expression of someone being as sarcastic as humanly possible the boy was really trying to give the old rug a good beating like he had watched Sienna do earlier. He kept hitting at it as if he was trying to smack a baseball, but it didn't take long before the little clouds of dust stopped floating in the breeze. "I don't think there is any dust bunnies left in here." he finally let the racket down, adding a little laugh as he lifted his other arm to shield the sun out from his eyes. "You must have scared them all off already."

Sienna laughed a little at Walter's attempt to reign in his less than kind terms. She handed the racket to him and stepped to the side so he could have at it. But after he got in a few good swings he stopped since nothing seemed to be coming out. "Oh sorry." She said looking apologetic but otherwise still pleased to have some company. "I usually l-let it air out some before putting it b-back." She explained as she clasped her hands in front of her and looked a little hesitant.
"Ah um well I guess that's a-all for now. W-were you doing something b-before you came to m-me? Trying to find Maxwell m-maybe? She'd never quite gotten used to the boy coming to her of his own accord and always assumed there was some underlying reason for his presence. All she did was clean and stuff, hardly entertaining for someone so young.

“Don't think Maxwell is around, he's not in any of the usual places.” Walter shrugged and held up the racket for Sienna. “Can't find any other pathfinders I know either. Figured I'd just go off on my own – try to find some part of HQ I haven't mapped yet. I don't usually go in this direction...but I got to find you.” he added with a grin.
He put up his hand to join the other in shielding his eyes from the sun, it was quite annoying with this much sharp light directly in his face. “Since there is no more dust bunnies, maybe you want to go on an explorers adventure with me?”

Maxwell had a nasty habit of vanishing for days or more on end. Not that she particularly minded, it let her clean things up and regain order. She worried a little from time to time. well she used to, There was still that tremor of uncertainty but she felt he understood what she'd asked of him after that awful adventure into that maze enough to have some sense. But then again...
She listened politely to his plight, sorry that she wasn't able to be of more assistance. But she did smile a little as he seemed happy to have stumbled upon her. Well that was nice to know even if it confused her a good deal. She wouldn't be rude about that though and simply kept those thoughts to herself. Noting his hand shield against the sun she tapped her bonnet idly before realizing he'd probably not like that much. Way too girly for a young, adventurous man.
Again she seemed visibly surprised as he then asked if she'd like to accompany him on an explorers adventure. She didn't take long to gather her wits and respond though. "Ah of course, I'd l-like that, very much. Just um.." she said and lifted a flap of her skit and smiled a little sheepishly. "Allow me to change first. I d-don't think my uniform w-would be good for f-finding treasure."

The boy was positively giddy with excitement. Sisi was going out on an adventure with him and he could get to show her so many nifty places and discover some new ones on the way, this was shaping up to be a really nice day after all!
“Oh, you're changing into an explorer outfit!” Walter could easily agree with her that a dress wasn't really much to go for an adventure in, not that he'd ever tried one on, they just didn't have pockets to put interesting treasures in. “That's a really good idea. You should wear shorts and a baseball cap. Those are great for adventuring!”

Sienna wouldn't have called it an explorer outfit but she supposed that if she was about to head off on an adventure then maybe it was.
Smiling at his enthusiasm she nodded. "I do h-have a few ball caps. A-and some boots. I suppose I s-should dress for an a-adbenture, yes?" She led them back inside where she dropped off her cleaning supplies and started heading to bed team room. "You've seen o-our new room y-yes?" She asked as they walked.
