Saoirse has come to despise cloudy days. Not only does it make everything feel oh so dreary in the city that doesn’t seem to sleep, but made it easier to focus on the white threads that wrapped around most of the populace. They were everywhere, always there, blurred or not.
They really were giving her a headache.
Saoirse found herself exiting the more crowded areas of the city and instead taking herself elsewhere…where the streets were quieter and her mind can think in peace without being distracted. It wasn’t exactly the safest part of the city, but it was better than the headache inducing touristy sections. Hands in her pocket and eyes up at the sky, Saoirse would walk in slow, long strides…letting the crisp cool air fill her lungs and giving herself room to think.

Walking down New York City streets shouldn't be that hard to be honest. However easy never comes easy, so strange how that works. A woman can dress anyway she wants and she wasn't dressed for a cloudy day and a pair of men took notice.
Are you kidding me? They cornered her close to an alleyway and started in without protest.
"What's your hurry baby?" Spoke the one on her right. His breath smelled like whiskey and cigars. Literally reeked of poison. Every word from his lips reminds of slime dripping from an old pipe only to gather into a pool below to trip a victim as a twisted prank. Disgusting. His appearance isn't even worth describing.
His companion was no better. "Yeah, you look like you need some company." No. She didn't. She was just fine. Even if she did require company it would not be with you. He was unkempt, fugly, and too close in her personal space.
"Back off." She spoke calmly. "I don't want company and I don't want to be bothered." She makes a move to slide out from between them only to be pushed back against the brick wall of the building. She winced, not from pain, but from how much energy it took not to retaliate. She wasn't in the mood. "HEY!"
"We said 'You need company' so let's give it to you." The slimy one spoke again. He must be the leader.
They possibly can't be thinking...
She looks into their eyes and a wave of anger washes over her making her ball up her fist. They were thinking it. Oh this really was not something she was in the mood for.

Saoirse would continue to walk, huffing as she went along and thinking to herself before the sound of a woman yelling reached Saoirse's ears.
Body tense and the hair rising on the back of her neck, Saoirse turned to the sound of a woman shouting, amber eyes landing on an alleyway not far off from her. It could be a number of things and Saoirse wasn't on the clock, however she needed to check...just to make sure. Walking faster towards the alleyway, she would stealthily look into the alley, awaiting to judge the situation before she did anything else.

"Fair warning boys. I fight to win." The blonde cracks her knuckles, widening her stance.
The two mean blink then chuckle before full on laughing. They didn't believe that such a small woman could take them on. She was what? 5'3 give or take? They grab her arms as they laugh longer before a fist collides with the right side of the leader's face. A solid right hook that leaves his partner dumbfounded by the sudden outlash. The man takes a hard tumble into a box sitting against the wall. His partner watches in slow motion ready to open his mouth to yell... he doesn't get the chance. The blonde woman with a California tan hits him straight in the gut. You can almost see her fist in his back. He wretches but is quick to cover his mouth as he fights the urge to vomit.
"Stay down." She says as a warning to the struggling men as she walks around them ready to exit the alleyway.
She doesn't get far. The man that fell into the box is up and pulls her into his fist. She takes four steps back but no more. He looks at her through his busted eye and bloodied cheek. "Good thing I do too then skank." He spits blood.
"...good." She turns to face him. Her lip is cut and bleeding. "I hate weak men." There's something not quite right here. Please stop them.
