The cultural festival was over and Sienna was still cleaning up the mess. The lively and loud bunch of concert goers had left a sightly mess after leaving the HQ's Town square. Left over dishes people had been eating had been left inside ht doors or on tables, Empty cups and full cups just laying about. It was a mess.
Once that had been taken care of it was onto tidying up which was where she was at now. Fixing the furniture and making sure things were neat and orderly once more. It looked nice finally. She'd wanted to come home and get on shining up her new trinket but this mes had come first. Hopefully the next concert went down much nicer than this last one had.

((So sorry for the delay!! I fell asleep ;v;))
Winona was back--still very visibly upset, but much more casually dressed. She hadn't intended on going back to those trashed festival grounds, but she wanted to grab her lanterns and just...lounge in her room until her next reap order. That concert took such a hit to her pride that she didn’t quite feel like doing anything. Besides probably throttling any ossified man she saw that had been in the crowd. Ugh, she’d never do an open admissions event again.
Walking towards the tree to (attempt) to climb and grab her lanterns, she noticed just how...clean it was. Barely any trace of the previous lollapalooza remained, and she chalked that up to the few cleaners she saw buzzing about. One such a cleaner was a few paces away tidying up the furniture. Hm, she always felt compelled to thank the cleaning crew, especially as she had been one before. So, she decided to thank the dark haired girl.
Walking a ways closer, Winona put on a smile, and spoke. “Excuse me, ma’am?”
*Ossified = drunk

((All good bruh~)) Sienna was used to being ignored or at the least left alone while she worked. So the voice calling out made her pause as she looked up to see if someone else was around. As there was not she had to assume it was herself being addressed. Turning around she came face to face with none other than the woman who'd been bravely singing the night before. She looked visibly surprised to be in her presence so suddenly, her eyes for a brief moment reflecting a good deal of shock and awe. The already self-conscious maid was doubly so when women were around. Especially ones that exuded such strength and confidence and seemed to have everything she didn't. And here she was in her uniform and a bit of a mess from cleaning. Her gold eyes flicked down as if looking upon her might be rude. It was such a silly notion, especially since she was every bit as dark as she was. But she'd been at the bottom of the pecking order when she'd been alive and old habits died hard. Her arms thankfully had a pillow clutched in them to her chest so she wasn't completely exposed. And then remembering she'd wanted something managed to find her voice. "Ah um y-yes d-did you need s-something?" She asked, her nervousness showing. This was so embarrassing. (( you know I actually know what that word means xDDDD ))

Oh, that wasn't quite the response she'd expected. Winona felt the slightest bit of unease as the girl kept...staring. Not that she was very upset. And then she looked down with her golden eyes--they were surely a pretty sight--as if afraid. Was she intimidating? They were both black, so she had no reason to be hostile to her. Hm.
Once the gal spoke, she offered another smile. Poor bunny looked terrified! "Ah, I just wanted to thank you for your hard work cleaning up that pigpen. It looks near sparkling~" she said rather honestly, offering a hand to shake. "Not a trace of that humdinger earlier."
Thinking about that 'humdinger' made her smile fall just a bit. Hmph, drunk guys were the worst. And very messy.
((omg!! I just wanted to be sure i wasn't confusing!))

Sienna glanced up and around the room as the woman mentioned how nice it looked bow that it had been cleaned up. "Ah uh t-thank you." She mumbled softly and fell silent as Winona continued. The maid gripped and ungripped the pillow in her arms before speaking again. "Ah um you u-um concert. It was r-really good." She hated that she was so well read but could barely have a conversation when it counted. She wanted to tell her how nice it was and how cool she was to be brave enough to get up on that stage and sing like that. She was so very much impressed. But she lacked the social skills to impart this information to her and instead just made do with smiling unabashedly at her feet.
((Lool it's okay I just was surprised to see it. you did your homework well~ xD ))

Ah, not a handshaker. Winona didn’t mind, and simply rested her hand on her hip. Once she mentioned the concert, her smile returned. “Ah, thank you, dear!” she exclaimed, before adding, “...At least someone enjoyed it.” She looked down slightly, folding her arms. Hmph, she wasn’t planning on letting that go any time soon.
She looked back up at the girl, who was clutching that pillow pretty tight. Hm, she liked the girl, and kinda wanted to...talk a bit more. It was better than just hiding in her room for a week, right? So, an idea popped into her head.
“When you’re done, would you like to grab a bite to eat? I know some charming little places around HQ~” She offered, feeling generous. And if the girl didn’t want to, she’d go on her way. “My name’s Winona, by the way.”

Ah, she hadn't been the only one to enjoy the concert. Some others had liked it from what she'd seen. Her unruly teammate had as well. but he was obnoxious so it might have been misunderstood. At the offer to go eat somewhere she looked surprised and a bit flustered before calming back down. "T-that would b-be nice, if you d-don't mind." If she didn't mind a stuttering mess for a meal partner anyway.
Winona sounded like a very interesting name to her. it suited the brave woman before he she thought. "It's S-sienna." She replied owing her head slightly out of a habit of always showing respect. Old habits didn't die hard, they didn't die at all. "S-so I um... won't be w-wasting your time t-then?" She asked hesitantly as she peeked up a bit at her. They were nearly the same height but the maid's usual way of standing to look small made her seem shorter or at least to lack presence.

“I don’t mind a bit, it’ll be my treat~” Winona hummed, going through a mental map (which was small, in comparison) of HQ. She had a small list of restaurants, but it depended on what the gal liked. Sienna was a pretty name, in her opinion. Made her think of warmth, or earthy…ness. Though, watching her bow and stutter made Winona feel a little bit bad for her. She didn’t just seem shy, she seemed like a shrinking violet.
“No need to be on edge, Sienna, I’m no better than you are.” She said softly, an empathetic smile on her face. “I don’t have plans for the rest of the day, so there’s no way you’d be wasting my time. I’d just be eating by myself anyways.” She chuckled at the thought, as if she didn’t mind eating by herself. But she’d prefer a companion.
“What do you have a taste for?”

Ah she wanted to pay for her food too? Wasn't that a bit much? Now she was squandering her time AND money. Sienna was at a loss but tried to fight off the urge to slip into servant mode at her kind words. She knew she wasn't, not to everyone else anyway. But she'd never connected with anyone outside of Clarence really. When meant she'd never had a female friend. Even the relationship with her own mother had been strained and barely existent because of the boy. She just lacked so much confidence in herself that being around or near women killed any she had.
Her head nodded gently at her assurance and she managed a brief but shy smile which was aimed at the space just above her shoulder. "O-okay." She just hoped she didn't bore her or worse, annoy her in someway. It wasn't hard. She'd been called boring and lame and all manner of things. And she couldn't argue any of that either. This was generally why she avoided people. She hated to disappoint them.
What did she have a taste for? "Ah um... I'm not picky." She wasn't and the idea of choosing their meal choice was way too much pressure and she visibly seemed distraught just thinking about it. She'd eat anything, even if she didn't like it since she was paying. It would be rude to not eat it after all.

Winona met Sienna’s shy smile with a warm one of her own. Ah, well, that was a start. She hoped the gal would be able to relax as time went on, and maybe get in some nice conversation. Besides, it couldn’t hurt to have more black companions, in Winnie’s opinion. She always felt less on edge with her own. Once Sienna said she wasn’t picky, Winona placed a hand on her chin in a contemplative pose. Hmmm, what was a general people pleaser?
“...Ah! Do you like soul food?” She asked, an excited expression on her face. “I know this cozy little place with real soul food; fried chicken, greens, and some of the best mac ‘n cheese I’ve found!” Soul food was always appreciated, in her experience. And she wasn’t feeling a fussy dining experience anyways. After her little weekend, she wanted to relax.
“I have other ideas as well if that doesn’t doesn’t tickle your fancy?” She offered, hands resting on her hips.

"Ah well y-yes." Sienna replied with a quick nod in case she hadn't spoken loud enough to be heard. She really wasn't picky with her food and would've been fine with anything. But soul food was a good choice. She could live with that yes. "I-it's fine." She muttered quickly and smiled fleetingly at her before dropping her gaze low once more. Hopefully she could be a bit braver as the day went on. She hated to be so quiet and meek sometimes but it was who she was and it was hard to fight off her simplest urges.

Ah, good, soul food it is! Sienna was still being rather soft spoken, but Winona didn’t quite mind. She was a bit intimidating, she supposed. She’d still figure out to get some good conversation out of the gal. “Well, let’s ankle! It’s about a twenty minute walk from here~” Winona said, flourishing the end. She paused, taking a look around the grounds. It looked pretty darn clean, but she wasn’t sure if Sienna was done. “If you’re finished, I mean,” She added, resting her hand on her hip again.
“I can wait if you’re not~”

Sienna glanced to the side and to the opposite one, gauging the work she'd done and what others could finish. Normally she'd have stayed until every last bit had been taken care of. But lately she'd been slacking. Her selfishness was showing. And as she nodded her head once it was even more obvious. She was becoming this stingy, needy creature. Thankfully she kept most of it under foot. Wanting things and actually demanding them. Such a strange sensation to have after so long. She would try to remedy these selfish feelings with time but right now she allowed herself to take the low road and leave the rest of the cleaning to the others.
"I'm f-finished." She replied resolutely.
The word ankle had been an odd choice but the quick-witted woman deduced that it mus have meant to walk trailed a step or two behind the bold, vibrant woman. It was so strange seeing someone every bit as dark as she was walk with such confidence. While she never had the hopes of matching that stride she did appreciate that those who had come later had found it. She didn't exactly idolize the singer it was the easiest way of explaining this odd elation blossoming in her chest. This was how she'd imagined it might feel like to go to dinner with 1 Direction. Not that this would ever happen and they'd soon forget her if they did she was sure. But still, this kind of shaky excitement wasn't a common feeling for her and she always marveled at how little she'd experienced in life compared to what people living in this day and age felt.
The maid wasn't the best singer. Not horrendously bad, but it wasn't exactly ear catching. That didn't stop her from enjoying the music though but just in secret rather than in the open where she could be seen. She hadn't said much since they'd started. She hadn't said a thing at all really. But this was fine. She'd try to talk a bit more once they were at their destination. Having a fellow dark skinned person did put her at ease in a way she could not get with others. Even though she had not been treated as harshly as most and been privileged and loved enough to exist in a bubble apart from everything others endured. She had seen and experience enough to find solace in those who reflected that pain and suffering.

With Sienna’s confirmation, Winona nodded, and started the trek to the restaurant. She was careful not to go too far ahead, walking with determination. It was...nice to get to treat someone every once in a while. Especially one of her own. She didn’t know when or where Sienna came from (not that she intended on finding out today, how rude!), but Winona always felt a slight connection to other black people, regardless.
She couldn’t think of many subjects to bring up during the walk, and the other gal seemed to be in thought. So, she focused more on the path ahead. She’d found the restaurant by chance one day, just aimlessly wandering HQ after a...not so great reap order, and frequented the charming place ever since. A few twists and turns here and there, and twenty minutes of walking, and they were there. The little restaurant—simply named House of Soul—wasn’t very full at the time, and they were rather quickly sat down, and asked for drinks. Winona simply ordered sweet tea, and then looked to Sienna with a smile. “Order whatever you want, I don’t mind~”
((Hhhh I hope I didn’t skip too much!))

Trailing the confident steps of Winona closely the maid tried to imagine what it would be like to have such feelings. She could barely muster up a fourth of this kind of thing. And it was usually only because she wanted to murder Maxwell. So that hardly counted.
They walked in silence which she was thankful for. She wasn't the talking sort to begin with so also speaking to someone so fabulous would be that much harder. So instead she'd been able to gaze enviously at her and only stopped once the arrived. A soul food restaurant. It smelled great and a happy little smile blossomed on her face at the memories such smells evoked. She'd practically lived in the kitchen.
They took their seats rather quickly, not allowing the maid to look as much as she'd have liked but didn't put up much of a fuss, she had plenty to look at with Winona here. Tea was what the songstress ordered while stammered out her own preference. "L-l-l-l-lemonade." Oh, she was a bit shaky. Was it right to be this nervous in front of the woman? She could actually feel her cheeks heating up a bit. How embarrassing. It was hard being star struck it seemed. No one was paying them much attention it seemed but still, she was hanging out with such a fabulous person and she was just a mousey maid.
