It was a warm place. Gabrielle loved reap orders like these, a village somewhere in a warm and sunny place...well, not that sunny currently there were clouds above her now and the first drops of rain started to fall. While Gabrielle usually didn't care about getting wet, she absolutely didn't want to ruin her new dress on the first day she wore it. If she ever met her mom in the higher plains, she wouldn't hear the end of it and who knew, it could happen, in a few hundred years maybe.
So, with regard to those possibilities, she took cover on a porch under a protruding roof. She would just wait until the rainshower was over and then continue on her merry way. Playing a bit with the hem of her dress, she leaned against the handrail and watched the rain go down on the once dusty road and the greenery around.

Penelope liked the countryside, mostly quiet and peaceful place to live. So when Clement told her to come out this way to drop off a package for him she didn't refuse, not because she still owed him for the ruined nurse's dress, oh no most certainly not, it was simply because she liked the idea of the country and that peaceful simplicity. However she was now being rained on just as she was heading back. Penelope runs to the closest dry place she could find without noticing it was occupied by another young lady. Penelope makes it in the nick of time because as soon as she got under the roof. The bottom of the sky fell out and it started to pour.
"That was close..." She says as she starts to wipe her face of water.

There was someone making their way towards the same roof she was hiding under. Gabrielle moved aside a bit, so the person wouldn't bump into her, in case it was a human. Most people you met out here were alive since...well, this was the living world after all! It was a girl with short black hair. She looked nice. Gabrielle squinted to see her thread. She couldn't, so she squinted a bit more. Nothing. Not even a blurry trace. This girl was dead.
"Yeah", she said cheerfully. No harm in trying to start a conversation, right? Rain showers in these parts could take a while and if this girl was dead, then she should be able to see her. Gabrielle tentatively brushed her hair back behind her ears. "In this season, rains can form quickly and before you know it, your wet from head to toe. Looks like you were lucky though."

Penelope stopped wiping her face as she heard a female voice beside her. Wait, they could see her? Penelope's eyes shifted to the woman as she stood. "Uh yeah so it seems." Penelope focused to see a thread and nothing, both dead were they? Interesting...
"So you're here for a reap order huh?" Penelope asked as she shook her hat free of water.

This reply proved it. This girl was dead too! Gabrielle couldn't have been happier, as macabre as it sounded. At least she had someone to talk now, otherwise she'd have to stand here silently and wait for the rain to end.
"Yep!", Gabrielle replied, very eager to keep this conversation up. "You too? Or vacations?"

Penelope adjusts her hat on her head. "Something like that I suppose." Penelope didn't like overly curious people, not really, but the girl was nice and pleasant. "I'm just here for a while." Penelope squeezes the water out of her jacket. "Strange that we can get wet even though we're dead."

"Imagine we wouldn't", Gabrielle said with a grin. "Imagine everything would pass through us. How would we get new clothes? We'd all run around naked and there are so many people I don't want to see like that!" She leaned against the handrail next to the other girl and grinned widely.

Penelope thought on that visual for a moment then laughs. "You're right about that." Then she looks at the girl with a mischievous smile. "But imagine the ones we WOULD love to see with clothes off." She whistles approvingly.

Oh. OH! That was a nice idea. Gabrielle's grin became so wide it almost broke her face. "Ah yes, that certainly is a thought......then again, I'm not sure if it would be worth it in the end, if we could just ask them to take their clothes off anytime we want." She held out her hand to the other girl. "My name is Gabrielle, by the way", she said, figuring it was time to introduce herself.

After she'd realized the shake she gives her a smile. "I don't know about asking considering the guys I'd like to see have issues with me asking or just don't know I exist. There are alot of us you know."
