How long had it been since Eva and Fran were able to have a proper outing like this? Certainly, duties as Full-time Reapers were many, but for them to be of this great a quantity almost seemed ridiculous...that, and Eva presumed it would be even more hectic with serving as one of the leaders of the apprentices. She continued to think to herself, sipping on a cup of tea she had already ordered while waiting on Fran.
Even if staying within HQ grounds could get stuffy, Eva didn't mind. As much as she loved being a nuisance around some people, she did know to show some manners when it came to friends. Maybe this time, they could plot on how to mess with the viking next. Clambering up to her seat on his shoulders alone could get boring sometimes and company always made things more entertaining, in general. Eva chuckled to herself at the thought of her and Fran having to dodge and weave through Joakim's blows. Yes, that would make for a most fun time should they find another break.

Time offs were very rare indeed for the busy Apprentice Leader, but truly, what better way to spend time off with an old friend over tea?
Although he didn't have all day to sit and chat with his old friend like he wished he did, this short break was definitely more than welcome amidst his busy schedule. Then again, he did love his work too... It was a daily dilemma between burying himself with work, and spending time with the few people who truly...mattered. His own, his...friends. Few as they might be...
And so here he was, striding at brisk speed to the cafe within HQ that he and Eva Ivers had agreed to meet at, snow white scarf billowing behind him, though he was dressed in a white turtleneck sweater and light grey slacks instead of his usual formal Apprentice robes. They were here to chill out, as friends, after all. Not for work. It wasn't long before white flowy ribbons rounded the bend to the cafe they had agreed to meet, greeting the red-haired lady sipping on her tea. A singsong, melodious voice that resembled wind chimes rang through the air.
"Sorry to keep you waiting there, old friend~" Fran flashed Eva an apologetic smile. "It's been quite awhile...hasn't it?~ Mufufu..."

"Ahhh, Fran dearest. No need to worry, I have not been waiting too long" Eva grinned. "Indeed it has kukuku... Well, I certainly would think it natural with all the duties that come with being one of the esteemed leaders of us apprentices, no?" She tilted her head slightly before moving from her seat to make some space for Fran to sit in. "Come, come. I'm sure it will be much easier to speak with the means to rest your feet."
Besides, it wasn't often that she had a moment to share with a fellow reaper at that. "I take it that things are going fairly swimmingly? Joakim seems the same as ever so clearly something is being done right." She winked before waving over one of the servers of the cafe. There had been a lot they all had gone through, certainly...The more recent events regarding convincing over the fallen and whatnot...it brought someone to mind, but last she had seen this person he had been dead set on leaving and never returning. As apathetic Eva could be, the least she did hope was that there would be no other cases like that.

"I am not, in so much, esteemed by my own as you would think, my friend~" Fran laughed gaily at Eva's remark, taking his seat beside her with a grateful smile. "Many thanks, Eva. I haven't gotten to rest these tired limbs of mine for the entire morning, quite frankly. So tiredddd~" He all but whined softly as he reclined in his seat, closing his eyes for a brief moment. He did feel comfortable enough with the redhead to unwind cordially before her, and so he did.
The mentioning of his best friend's name had Fran's eyes snapping open, and his lips letting out a soft chortle. "Things are...as peaceful as peaceful ever gets around here, Eva~" He sang, sitting up as the server headed over to the table the two were seated at. "Although...I have to admit that..." His voice lowered at this point, to a point that only the woman sitting beside him was able to hear what he was trying to say, "...inter-faction tension has been at its very worst since I've held this position," Sighing to himself, his slender fingers drummed idly on the table before them as he continued. "In all my years as an Apprentice, I've never seen it so....bad. The Hunters are finally starting to rise up, take a stand, crawl out from the holes they've been hiding...and..."
"That Clement...is beginning to bare his teeth." As the server approached, Fran smiled politely at her, allowing her to take Eva's order first. "I sometimes wonder if they're as fake as his lashes. His teeth, I mean," He grinned cheekily, "Ladies first, my friend~"
