A rather peculiar Ad had made its way into Death’s HQ, scattering across the plane of un-death seemly overnight. Overflowing headquarters every nook and cranny with zealous persistence, the colorful posters were found plastered across the entirety of every office board, Corridor, Dorm Door and Window. Even the crows roosts were stuffed to the brim, beaming with an exuberant invitation on the living plan:
Chalk-the-Walk! A Family friendly event open to all! Chicago happily invites the public to Bring your own chalk or purchase supplies on site and join us on the promenade to color the park way! Enjoy Free Games, Crafts and entertainment though to the evening.
________________________________________________ Deaths Headquarters was not the only realm littered with these posters. The plane of the living was just as informed, and once a certain Rainbow Man-child had found the propaganda, he made certain to share the news! Then he made doubly certain to show up early to pick a good spot. He wanted to be able to see anyone familiar easily if they came! The Promenade was a three city block long stretch of walkway after all, most of which had been sectioned off into groups of small and large lots for participating civilians. Anyone could pick an empty square and have away to their hearts content, coloring the sidewalk in murals or scribbles as they pleased. Maxwell had reserved a large lot close to the central promenade, where food and craft stalls and events were set up for the leisure of visitors less willing to get their hands quite so dirty as the more veteran artists on site. It was also closest to the table where one could purchase their chalks--if they didn’t have their own. And Maxwell would need plenty more than what he’d brought. Of the large bucket of pastel sidewalk chalk he’d brought, the Rainbow man had nearly used half his supply marking out a messy base of swirls and zigzags that had more than expanded beyond the borders of his assigned space. His hands and clothes were coated in a colorful powdery mess that mirrored his ‘art’ in progress. Though it surely didn’t help when he was quite literally rolling across his mural while lazing on the ground to draw.

The park already had quite a few people in it, mostly children. He held on to her hand as he navigated them to the promenade so that she wouldn't get lost from him, or worse, go back home without meeting his friend. So eager to find his friend and let Eva meet him he didn't even look at her while talking, scanning the attendees of the event. “You're gonna love him Eva, he's my best mate – taught me almost everything I know from the pathfinder job!”
There! He stopped abruptly, changing direction to the big table where one could buy chalk. Rolling around on the ground smeared with colourful chalk over his already colourful outfit was the man they had come to see. “Mr Rainbow!”

Eva would but chuckle as Walter seemed to almost literally bounce with excitement. A family event, huh? It had been too long since she had last been in such a thing. Walking around with Walter like this was most definitely nostalgic of times when she had been a mother so many years ago. "Uh huh, I see." She gave a nod in response to hearing the boy going on about this Mr. Rainbow.
As Walter had found the man he spoke of, Eva would but blink at taking in the sight of the man covered in all kinds of different colors. Wow. He really wasn't kidding about the Rainbow part, that's for sure. Eva was no artist, that was for certain, but it certainly looked like a most...peculiar creation that Maxwell was creating on the asphalt of the street.

At the call of his name, Maxwell dropped grinned wide an dropped his chalks. He knew that twitter-twirl of an accent anywhere-- "BUNNY!" Rolling across his art work to the very edge, Maxwell whirled himself up on his feet with fumbling grace. Zoning in on Walter and his companion, Maxwell gasped, threw open his chalk covered arms and dashed in to hug both the woman and child. "YOU CAME!"

Walter, still holding on to his team mates' hand as if they were glued together, with no regard for what Eva might think about being roped into a chalk dusted hug, he welcomed the oncoming rainbow with a gesture of open arms. “WHY WOULD I MISS THIS??!!” His grin was as wide as Maxwell's.

A box of brand-new chalk in his pocket, Harvey sauntered down the sidewalk, admiring the event set-up and all the empty lots to draw in. He hadn't ever seriously used chalk before, and this looked like an exciting way to give it a shot. The stalls were a sweet bonus, too; it was always interesting to go people-watching in events. And if ever he gave up on chalk-drawing, he could always shrug and sit down for a snack.
A loud shout distracted him from the sidewalk art he was looking at, and he turned to see a pair of familiar faces over at one large lot filled with colorful abstract scribbles. He grinned as scenes from the county fair flashed through his head. That's right, that kid and that rainbow guy hijacked the train together, didn't they? Come to think of it, Harvey'd been kind of absorbed back then; had he remembered to ask for their names? They were with a girl he didn't know, too. Either way, he was sure it would be a lot more fun with everyone on board, and so he sprinted towards the assembled group and called out, "Hey! It's you guys again!"

"Well...I could name a few people, but they're dead--" He laughed and nuzzled Walters face, smearing him with color just a little more before he shoved his way between Walter and Eva to run off and greet Harvy. He didn't know the boy personally, but it wouldn't stop him from dashing over to tackle the boy, repeating the sharing of his chalk colors with a big and messy hug. "IT'S US! AND YOU! AND FRIENDSSSSSS! BUNNY, IT'S FRIENDS!"

"Most people we know are dead." Walter laughed as Maxwell smeared his face.
"Who is...." Squinting at the boy coming towards them he suddenly lit up with "Oh. It's balloon boy." He turned his attention to Eva. "We met that guy at the New York fair. Fate painted balloons on him. He almost looked like that part of the pavement." He pointed down to a corner of Maxwell's artwork.
Picking up some of his friends enthusiasm he threw his hands up in the air yelling "YAY! MORE PEOPLE! LET'S TAKE OVER THE PAVEMENT."
