Walter had entered at the ticket gates in front of the escalators located next to platform 17 thinking they'd take them down to the underground, but having Heng fail so badly with a simple scan of a plastic card he figured they had better just go the length of the platform to the stairs that didn't move on their own. “Stairs is this way.” he chirped, pointing eagerly in the direction they were bound. “Say, Cliffon,” Not even bothering to look back at the man he addressed, pulling at Heng's sleeve towards the stairs at the end of the platform. “what was your friend's name, perhaps we know her.” ---------------------------- Heng would totally do that...because it is the most efficient tactic when dealing with dora the explorer
The guys have made it past the ticket gates for the Bakerloo (brown) line, Northbound for the Charing Cross stop while Penelope is on the other side of the ticket gate by the info desk. Waterloo Station (station map pdf under right hand side “maps and connections”) basically they are not TOO far apart.

He sniffled, composing a message mentally as he followed the other two, "I don't believe I've caught your names yet..." he said with a small sigh. Penelope was going to kill him when she sees him...
Walter's question had him reflexively reply with "Penny", though he kicked himself mentally for letting that slide far too quickly for his tastes... "Small world, if you do know her..."
And bye bye cover if that was the case;;;

Heng sniffed, looking down at the Child tugging on his sleeve. Awwwwww er, ahem.
"...Penny is a nice name," Heng said slowly, turning back to look at er.. what did he say his name was again. Cliff? Cliffen?
He tried to remember if he's ever come across suspicious people with the name Penny, but nothing came to mind.
"Where are we going again?" Heng asked the Child sheepishly for the nth time.

Penelope bit into the pastry she'd bought at the bakery and took a sip from her coffee, albeit with difficulty from all her bags, then sighed pleasantly at her light snack. She focused on the pastry's taste, how the coffee felt as it slid down her throat, and how it blended together tasting new. Lifting up her eyes she now focused on the threads around her. Even in the crowd of people she could see their fates mostly white, a few pinks, but a space not to far ahead was empty. Penelope wrinkled her nose, that was odd, Threadless maybe? She moved closer even though the exit wasn't too far away regardless Penelope was too intrigued what if she'd found more Hunters? And then she saw them. Her eyes slowly pulled open to their fullest believing what she saw might have been a trick but nope, Lady Fortune decided to give her favor because there he was. Her smile was all teeth now, kind yet cruel at the same time, pure white against plum-coloured lips.
Penelope started walking in his direction. Her blue eyes, cold like ice, locked solely on the man standing not to far from her. Her heels clicked against the floor in a steady but fast pace until she stood behind him and gave one very smooth, gentle word of greeting.
"Hello."
She kept her eyes locked on Stanley, ignoring the child and the tall Asian man that were in his company. Not out of rudeness but because she needed Stanley to understand one simple thing: She's going to eat him alive.
---- Thanks fuego for letting me know where you guys were~ it helped! Finally with the group! Whoot!

This went as swimmingly as things possibly could. Heng was letting him lead on which made his job much easier, although he had to yet again reply to the old man with “catching the Bakerloo line” for the umpteenth time. Clifford was not someone who was fuzzy with how one said his name which means he must be some fun to be around. However there was no Penny which Walter knew of.
Still dragging Heng along like some dog walking it's owner and just about to reply to the Clifford's question of names which had been ignored, someone came marching across the platform making the distinct click-click-click of ladies shoes. What arrived was not some typical shopper on their way to catch a train home ignoring the small threadless gathering, but a very angry sounding “Hello” stopping right next to them.
Walter watched the lady that had come barging in from nowhere with a sort of puzzled face. I have seen you before....did I reap you? ...No. That's not it. He felt she was a much briefer, and frankly, more happy encounter. Something good. Something sweet....
With a gasp he pointed an accusing finger at her. “I know you!!”
It took a moment (of what must have been a pause for dramatic effect) before he followed up with with a loud exclamation of “You are the lady from the candy cart at the New York festival!!”

It's been a great many years since Heng's been dragged around by a child, and to be honest it was a nice, nostalgic feeling. He nodded when the Child told him the name of their destination again, pretending to know where that was. He almost felt calm. That is until he heard a cold, sharp "Hello" from behind.
Heng saw the lady, er, "Penny" he supposed walk up to Cliffsomething.
He narrowed his eye.
The Child mentioned the New York Festival, also known as the Festival where they let their guard down and Death was injured by... by candy.
Did the Child say candy cart?
Something was not right.
He moved his hand from the sleeve that the Child was tugging at to take the Child's hand. With his free hand he reached into his pocket and retrieved his chrysanthemum, putting it into the Child's other hand.
"If I tell you to run, I want you to go back to Headquarters, alright?" he said quietly to the child. "Otherwise, let us continue to er, Bakeroo ..Line."
If they could get out of this without a tussle, that would be ideal.
"Oh, is that your companion er... Penny, by chance?" he called over to Cliffsomethingorother, smiling. " 'Tis nice of her to join us."

Penelope turned her head towards the child and quickly her face relaxed into it's natural smile.
"Pardon? Have we met?" Penelope leaned to look at the child but at a safe distance. Her face was pleasant again but in her mind Penelope was checking off a list. How in the green pastures of heaven did this child place her? No, it was a fluke. The NY fair... Her costume was perfect, light brown shoulder length hair with purple streaks, on point make-up, and a dress. No one could've know that the woman standing before them now was the same woman - she was wearing her natural dark hair, graphic tee, shorts, and knee high boots (natural makeup). Penelope looks up at Heng as he addresses Stanley and smiles pleasantly.
"Ah yes I'm Penny." She puts down her bags and gives a small bow in greeting. "始めまして." Thank God for mixed heritages it meant she could play two hands when necessary. Let's just hope she pulled it off well enough ;;;
"I see you've met my friend here." She jabs her thumb in Stanley's direction. "Hope he wasn't too much trouble." She side glances him with a smile.
----- Hey just wanted to let you know that Penelope was wearing a disguise at the event > fav.me/d95uxqa . I'm not sure if Walter would have recognized her but maybe he would've

Her smile was very lovely and she smelled the same as the lady at the festival so he was sure it was the same person with a different haircut and less gunk smeared on her face, she reminded him so much of her he just couldn't help it, but of some reason she acted like they had never met. Maybe he had gotten her wrong after all...but that really was the only other place he could have met her recently because he had spent all the time after Death got sick at HQ save for the Disneyworld trip.
Oh shoot. An image of briefly bumping into a lady with short dark hair when waltzing through a door in a Disney shop came to mind. They just happen to wear the same perfume. Walter, cheeks getting slightly red, was about to apologize for what apparently was a pretty embarrassing blunder. That was, until Heng shoved a chrysanthemum in his free hand and told him to run for it if ordered. The feeling of dread came sneaking up on him and he didn't like it.
“Cliffon? Not really.” Walter rejoined the conversation looking over at Clifford who haven't said anything for a while. “Though he did almost just leave without you....”
----- Ahhh, sorry I didn't catch/remember that. He's generally good with faces though – it's like remembering streets and buildings for him. Voices are not his thing though so Stanley will be a problem for him later on.... Tried to fix it by adding the accidental run in they have in the other RP... (you can always have her approach them with a Mickey mouse mask or something so Heng doesn't remember her from that one later xD )

Stanley's grip on his cane tightened when he heard Penelope speak behind him. Yeah... he'll get to that in a bit... he could feel her anger on his back, and for now, he'd like it very much if she'd give him the slip.
Instead, he had to think of a way to tell Penelope that he was going by an alias. So he rubbed the bridge of his nose and said in an exasperated tone, "My name is Clifford. It can't be that difficult to remember, can it? And what of the two of you? I haven't exactly gotten an introduction, it's quite rude."
He huffed, pocketting his hand and finally turning to look at Penelope. Casting her an apologetic look, Stanley nodded in acknowledgement at her, "Apologies... Penny." It was difficult to drop the formalities he was so used to using on Penelope, but it would have to do for now.
"I got distracted and wandered off without you again..." he did look between Walter and Penelope though, "Oh, have you both met? Quite popular, aren't you Penny?"

"We have not yet introduced ourselves? Apologies," Heng looked between the two uh, suspicious people, slowly lowering his hand away from his weapon again. Should he offer a fake name? No, there's no point.
"I am Heng," he offered, then looked at the Child to... Heng raised his eyebrow. He could learn the name of the Child now. Perhaps this meeting does serve a purpose.

Penelope quirked an eyebrow as she mentally repeated the name Stanley gave. 'Clifford? There are so many better names than Clifford like Justin, Marcus, Sean, Jack! Hmmm, on second thought maybe not Jack.' Penelope folded her arms as she let the heat from her gaze die down. No need to be hostile anymore. Apparently Stanley had been traveling with them but didn't know their names yet? Well that's odd usually introductions are the first things people give to - WAIT DID HE JUST CALL HER PENNY!!!
Penelope's face was frozen on pleasant surprise for a good 3 seconds as realization kicked in. She could've cheered. FINALLY! Penelope tucked her lower lip into her mouth as she gave a giggle. "Yep it seems so but I think he's got the wrong lady however." Penelope grins at Stanley then Walter. This was a good day after all. "Hello there Heng." She held out her hand in small greeting for a handshake a pleasant (toned down) smile on her face. Then she turns to the child, "and whats your name sweetheart?" So that she could avoid him in the foreseeable future.

Scratch that. Correcting Walter and being stiff as a board about it Clifford was no fun guy.
Walter raised his eyebrow back at Heng as he carefully slipped the flower into his pocket. Heng had given the two others his real name, did that mean he trusted them after all? Yes? No? Whatever Heng intended Penny and Clifford was turning it into some grown up meeting where everyone stood around talking all day. That was not something Walter intended to deal with now when hunger was nagging at him, so regardless of Penny's sweet smile the reply came out rather flat. “Walter.”
He pulled lightly on Heng's sleeve. “We already missed the first departure to Bakerloo, can we please get to the platform and not miss the next one?”

Heng looked down at the child... wait no, at Walter.
"Oh yes yes, let us hurry," he smiled, trying to make himself sound casual and not ready to draw his weapon if needed. He gave the two strangers another glance, nodding at them. "If you two are still going to follow, do keep up, yes?" he called.
Hopefully they'll get lost in the crowd and he and Walter can go back without incident.

Walter was getting confused by Heng's contradicting behaviour and made a sort of disgruntled face at the man. He had given the flower to him because he thought it might be unsafe....so why would you invite someone along if you didn't want them there? Why was this a thing adults did? How was that in any way considered more polite than telling people to just go along on their merry way?
