There was a calm serenity that could not be replaced. It was as if he was breathing underwater without a care in the world. This void was timeless and he could rest for an eternity. Then, he felt it. He was moving. Like a ripple on his still water surface. It shook his core, and it stirred his slumber. Curious as he was, he began inching towards the source. Slowly, he began to hear a soft voice...
"Grim...?"
"Amsteria!" The german shot up from his sleep, shouting rather abruptly. Still dizzy from his sudden movement, he clutched his head painfully, giving his might to focus. Right...! I was tending to the lady! With a much clearer objective, the blonde was surprised to find himself lying rather comfortably on fur. Joakim.
Turning around, he noticed the two larger figures crowding around Shorinaga's bed. How long has he been sleeping? ...and who shifted him? With a few staggering steps, he steadied himself by leaning on the wall. The room was much darker with the curtains drawn and it was hard to decipher their blurry expressions.
"Y-you're all back. How is she?" He inquired, trying to shake off the drowsiness in his system. He supposed that they had a lot of questions, but it seemed that they were all focused on the ill apprentice. That's good; it showed that they cared enough ...and it could temporarily distract them from how they both ended up on the samurai's bed.

Her reply wasn’t the most optimistic, but at the very least it was normal. Fever-struck people WOULD feel the way she did, and Joakim nodded as he considered his next course of action. Clicking his tongue, he failed to stop the fair-haired woman from sitting up and sighed, “Stop moving around so much, you’ll just make yourself feel worse…”
He did reach behind her to fluff Shorinaga’s pillows before grabbing Amsteria’s own pillows and stacking them on top of Shorinaga’s before gently pushing at her shoulder as if encouraging her to lean back against them so she would be half-sitting and half-laying down. Joakim perked up at the sound of Shorinaga’s voice, turning to look at the other man, “You’re back,” he started simply as Shorinaga approached them, “Amsteria has a fever. It hasn’t broken yet. If you have anything that can help bring the fever down, now’s a good time to share it.”
Joakim brought a hand up to rub his chin briefly, wondering if they had a basin of some sort he could use to bring some water over. Sponging her neck and face could help some… Not to mention that it’d be great if either Shorinaga or Grim could get Amsteria some soup to eat. Oh, and plenty of water to drink. He cringed when Grim suddenly cried out though. Turning around, Joakim couldn’t help but let out a “Shh.” at their resident medic.
It didn’t take long for Grim to join them, even if he did stand a few paces away, “Still hot to the touch. Fever hasn’t broken yet… Did you give her anything for the fever? You were with her before I came in. …Mngh. Anyway, I’m going to go get some water to sponge her with. One of you ought to go get some soup and a pitcher of water for her and whoever is left behind needs to go get more blankets. The extra heat ought to help her sweat the fever off.”
With an almost dismissive wave of his hand, Joakim made his way to the door to go fetch said water.

"...he did," Amsteria piped up after a pause, shutting her eyes to a sudden headache, "Grim got me some sandwiches and juice...and water," she continued. She leaned back on the little wall of pillows slowly at Joakim's nudge.
"...and some pills," she muttered, casting her glance down at the far corner of Shorinaga's bed, near the wall. "I didn't eat those...," she continued to mutter, and bunched up the blankets around her. It was her main regret at the moment, those little pills swept out the window. They ere probably lying around under some petal of some flower out in the vast field of chrysanthemum's outside. She sighed lightly, hardly able to exert more force than necessary because her throat was getting quite dry.
Amsteria closed her eyes as Joakim stated his plans, and after that, began to idly listen to the beat of her heart. It was rapid, to a degree. The unnatural warmth of her body, the gradual drying of her throat, the pounding headache. It all amplified more than it had been this morning. Trying again, Amsteria leans back and tries to doze the pain away.

A strange silence hovered in the air for a while before Shorinaga let loose a long and exasperated sigh. He glanced at Joakim as he left, next at Grim, and then at Amsteria. She sounded like a frog, croaking like that. Reaching into his bag, he pulled out a cannister he kept water in. Evaluating if she'd be able to hold it herself, he stepped closer as he opened the cannister. With a gentle touch, the older man prompted her to tilt her head back just a bit. "Open your mouth. Don't speak," ordered Shorinaga. If she complied, he'd pour water into her mouth. If not, he'd just give it to her. In the end, he placed it closed against the headboard of the bed to easy access.
"That's all I have right now," the Japanese apprentice murmured. Within his voice were slight hints of his fatigue. Rubbing at his own temple, he sighed as he turned to Grim. "If you have anymore medicine for her . . ." Shaking his head, Shorinaga didn't need to tell the young doctor what to do. "No . . . you're the doctor, not me. I'll take blankets from her bed."
Dropping his bag on the window seat, the sounds of clashing and clanging could be heard inside. Shorinaga paid it little mind as he turned to climb the ladder to the top bunk and began removing the sheets and taking the pillows. If need be, he'd set her bed for her again. His suggestion to aid her would have been to take the woman to a sauna to sweat the fever out, but it wasn't an extremely popular method these days with medicine and whatnot.
Then again, Amsteria didn't seem to be a fan of medicine regardless. All these covers would keep her warm. But . . .
"Chotto," the man called to Grim in Japanese. The tone in his voice was probably enough to realize that Shorinaga was calling for attention. Even if Grim didn't, Shorinaga tossed/dropped the balled-up blankets down to him. He tossed the pillows down afterwards.
Without a second glance, he slid down the ladder and jogged out the room. "I'm going to get her some tea," the man called over his shoulder . . . and then he was gone.

Was he mad at her? Perhaps, but it stung more than that; to think that Amsteria has denied his service. Sighing and shaking his head, he revealed slight disappointment, but did not say anything. Ultimately, it was her choice and her consequences to bear. With his other teammate's suggestions, Grim was quick to catch on that they were trying to rid the fever through perspiration.
It was a home remedy that would exhaust more energy from the patient, which could prove to be a more unpleasant time for Amsteria. In addition, she had high fever and it could risk further overheating if she couldn't sweat it out. Turning, he walked towards his cabinet with some lag as the other two male fussed over the sick. With slight disdain, he had a sudden impulse to wash his hands off the matter given the fact that they seemed to get through to her better than he could. It really stung.
The medic tensed, but with rooted moral sense of duty, the young man still wanted the best for the ill apprentice. That was why he was in this sector after all. How immature it would be to let silly things overwrite his profession. Casting away the distasteful thoughts, Grim presented another small bottle from his drawers, filled with an rose coloured solvent. It would be easier for her to swallow it, since she was beginning to have an onset of sore throat as well.
"This is fever medication in syrup form. It... does the same thing as the pills." The medic stated haltingly, barely raising a smile. He then proceeded to rest the bottle on the desk that he had wheeled to the front. It was a precaution net; if their method didn't work, at least she wouldn't end up in the ER with this medication suppressing some of the heat. Of course, given that Amsteria ingests a tablespoon of the syrup first. Once again, it was her choice to listen or not. Narr...
Being handed the balled up cotton and further burdened by the pillows, the medic growled a little before tossing it at the edge of the samurai's bed. The two men had come and gone like the wind and he was once again left with the uncooperative patient. Unwilling as he was to follow through this method, the blonde still reluctantly covered the lady up with the extra layer of blanket and pillows beside without a further word.

Joakim returned with a small basin of water and a can of 100 Plus that he got from one of the vending machines nearby. Someone had mentioned that the drink was good for replenishing lost electrolytes, or something like that. Basically it was something good. That was all that mattered to him. The viking had planned to give it to Amsteria once her appetite returned, or at least when the fever broke. When he walked in, Shorinaga was nowhere in sight, but it looked like Grim was doing what he did best between them; be a Medic. Thank Odin for having a Medic in the team.
He put the basin down on the little table they had in the room before going through his 'locker' for a small, clean towel to sponge Amsteria with. Once he got hold of it, he dipped it in the water and left it there for a little bit while Grim was tending to their Pathfinder, "You'll have to bear with the heat a little. The sooner you sweat the fever out, the better, but if you can't take it, just tell us." Joakim crossed his arms over his chest as he visually assessed Amsteria. Admittedly, Joakim was not good at taking care of the sickly. All that he'd instructed them to do were essentially what his brother kept doing for him the whole time they were in the same team, and all that he knew of taking care of fevers. If what Amsteria had was not a fever... Well. This was as far as he could help her.
The larger man eyed the cough syrup though, and he picked up the bottle to examine it. It looked familiar. Kjeld probably got one or two of these and fed him some before, "Cough syrup?" he asked plainly, simply asking for clarification. Once he got his answer, he nodded before asking, "Where's Shorinaga?"

Amsteria looked up in a daze as Shorinaga offered his drink. With the little shred of rationality she still had in this haze of heat and throbbing, there was the thought that sharing a drink would probably make her fever worse. She was not sure whether to take another risk (like that street Thai food that most likely gave her this fever in the first place) or just accept the older man's help. Tired, she decides on the latter, and the water was a half blessing as it eased her throat.
She lays back and bunches the blankets around her again. The ruckus around her passed by muted, blocked out by the cotton lining around her ears. There was a lot of shuffling, some talking, but soon enough she was out once more like a light.
