Another reap order.
Sienna really disliked these things but she supposed a chance to visit the theme park wasn't so bad. And she'd been told that she was being given some help since this area was notorious for being hit by hunters. She had no idea who but she was currently waiting outside of the parks gates a good few feet away from the crowds. She'd come dressed as lightly as her prudish nature would permit. A Layton T-shirt and some denim jeggings. Her hair had been hastily pulled into a high ponytail and a ball cap with the team emblem for the Florida gators was situated on her head. She looked like a fairly average tourist perched comfortably on a stone bench as she watched people pass by.
Despite the reason she needed to be here she was at the least enjoying the chance to see happy families moving about and greeting one another at the entrance before paying and entering. The scent of food wafting through and over the gates was tantalizing. She loved fairs and loud, clamoring hordes of people. Of course she continued to keep an eye out for who would be joining her here. Meanwhile she'd be tackling puzzles and people watching. There was still quite a bit of time until the reaping needed to take place.

If you do aim to join, don't leave this rp unattended for days. You'll be skipped :'D I want a decently paced thing here so look alive sunshines. I like to at least post once a day, more so if others post. Also a hunter or two would be a nice addition yes~

Heng tossed his empty water bottle into a trash can. Well, near into a trash can as it had bounced off. He sighed, walking over and picking it up, weighing it in his hand before he threw it out properly.
Heng loved his Ji. It was a powerful weapon, versatile and deadly. However, there were days when he wished he could chop off a good half of it, and today was one of those days. He clenched it in his hand as he slowly made his way through the crowds, side stepping and even half twirling at times to avoid brushing against any tourists. He didn't recognize where he was, truth be told. His teammates had assured him with great enthusiasm that yes, even an old man out of touch with the youth of today would definitely know where this is.
"Disney.. world," Heng muttered, looking up at its gate. It didn't look all that special. And the ticket prices were atrocious.
He scanned the crowd. Headquarters had assigned him to be a guard to another Apprentice as she underwent her reap order. It was hard looking for the one person without a thread among a sea of intertwining red floating up into the air.. or wherever threads went. Why was his armour so hot.
Ah, there she was! Heng went over to her. It was nice to see that it was someone he recognized. Sienna? Or something. He gave her a wave.
It's open now~

Another great day with nice weather and the glorious dream of Walter had been realised. He had been assigned to the birth place of his favourite character made by Walt Disney himself; Oswald the Lucky rabbit.
As he pranced up to the gate from inside the park to meet the other lucky apprentices whom he should have the honour of guiding around this marvellous place which he had taken the liberty of checking out before the meeting time, he was entertaining himself by naming the character of anyone in a costume. "..and that little girl in that line is Cinderella, that one is Belle, that tall old man is Li Shang, that boy is -" Wait. Someone was wearing their costume in the wrong colours.
Nimbly skipping past the humans in the crowd he came to a halt on the man's right side. Stuffing a flier of the park map in his pocket he addressed the man rather drily. "I can see why they'd send an Asian pirate to a theme park. At least in this place the bad guys would have to actually watch the films to know you don't work here." Squinting at the man he corrected his beloved baseball cap with Oswald so that sat more comfortably. Good grief. It was warm enough out for everyone attending to wear shorts and this guy showed up in armour?
((Hope you don't mind the child joining "the happiest place on earth"....I kind of stalk the forum so I think I might be able to keep up. Hopefully.))

Sienna blinked in surprise as Heng came strolling over dressed like a warrior getting ready to die in battle with honor and glory. All the petite woman could do at first was stare. Catching herself doing something rude she shook her head slightly. Wasn't he hot in all those layers? It was hot and summery, a light breeze picked up occasionally but he had to be melting.
"Ah um..." She muttered softly as she raised a hand to wave at him in return. At least it was someone she recognized rather than a total stranger. That generally made things much easier on her timid habits. Heng seemed grossly informal to use while he looked this way though and she hesitated. And in that moment another apprentice walked over. addressing Heng familiarly so they knew one another she was certain. Gold eyes darted between them skittishly but settled once more on the 'asian pirate' with some genuine concern.
"Um.... Hello." She greeted them both finally. Goodness she was a lost cause when it came to communicating to people. "I um.... k-now we are supposed t-to wait here for t-the others b-but um, y-you aren't g-going to l-last long... d-dressed like t-that." What if they had to reap someone in the watery parts? He'd get soggy and heavy and that simply wouldn't do. Not only was it exceedingly uncomfortable but it was also dangerous. If he was to be keeping people safe he needed to have full motion of his person. It would be bad if he got injured because he failed to come dressed properly.
"If you d-don't mind I can g-go find s-something else. At l-least a s-shirt." They could stash his armor in a locker or something. Or a backpack if he insisted on having it on him.

Heng's waving was interrupted when a child's voice piped up from under him. He looked down to see yet another familiar face.
"You again? You're from the uh... the fair! You hijacked my team's booth," he greeted flatly. He wasn't actually upset at the child though, seeing as how he was a... child. He just hoped that his little lecture had some effect on him, no matter how small. "How is it that you're here too? This must be a dismal day for this park to have two reap orders at a time," he said mostly to himself.
He looked over at Sienna when she began talking. As she stuttered about his armour, he looked down at it. It was true that he was probably melting, but he's fought battles in the heat before. And if he were not wearing armor, what would he use to protect his fleshy parts should they be cut? He looked back over at Sienna. She seemed quite concerned about this however, and he did not wish to cause her distress.
At any rate, if he was as skilled a warrior as he should be to protect others, he shouldn't rely on the armour to protect him.
"Thank you for your concern," he said as he stopped beside her. "It is quite hot today. I suppose I shall change into something lighter."

Oh. It was the non-pirate train conductor man. Walter still wasn't sure what to make of this guy but at least he didn't seem angry about the fair. That was a good start. "The office said that they thought it would be safer with a pathfinder around this place." and with a cheerful smile he added "There are a million maintenance doors we can use as short cuts." as if that was the most exiting part of going to a theme park.
Walter lifted his hand and waved it with a little " 'ello" at the girl. He lifted an eyebrow at her stuttering as she addressed the Asian non-pirate's lack of appropriate clothing. Wondering why she was stuttering he disconnected from the conversation. The non-pirate wasn't THAT scary. Maybe she hadn't seen him wearing this outfit before. Maybe she knew what was hiding under the eye patch, maybe....
He stopped next to the guy, catching just enough of what was said to re-connect to the last part of the conversation. "That's good. Adults aren't allowed costumes in the park. They could get mixed up with the people who work here so they don't allow it." Walter chimed in, looking sternly at the man, apparently forgetting that normal people couldn't see them. To the girl he tilted his head with a grin, exposing his missing tooth. "I have already had a look around, I can come with you and find something for..." his eyes darted up to the man "...I forgot to ask his name at the fair, but he can stay here if we are supposed to meet someone else because he isn't very hard to find."

Sienna nodded at Heng, happy to hear he would change. She'd hate for him to pass out or something. Tapping her fingers together as the stranger mentioned tunnels she reached into her back pocket and handed the neatly folded paper to him. It was a map of all the hidden doors and entrances the staff used. After hearing she was going here she'd found someone who had this information and got a copy of the map. A proper gentleman always came prepared. She wasn't a man of course but she had found living by the unofficial code Professor Layton lived by had been perfect for her.
Oh wait, he wanted her to come with him to find something? but wouldn't it be easier to find that with the one who needed it? Not that she couldn't gauge his size and what he'd were by looking at him. Which she could but still. "Um c-couldn't we all j-just um g-go together?" Why split up? The whole point was to stick together as a team. And she'd rather not leave the one who could keep them safe behind. "Whoever else c-comes will stay h-here?" Maybe was hard to say but splitting up was not cool with her.

((The following was permissive head cannon--unless MrsLayton changes her mind. ouob ))
From the outside, the map was crisp and clean, but the inside was a deceiving mess of colorful, overlaying scribbles. A childish scrawl of swirling, dotted, crayon paths and marker doodles, depicting the ins and outs of Disney Lands most concealed gates and pathways, used strictly by the parks personnel. At first glance, it was a joke, but to the trained eye, the map was surprisingly accurate and well detailed. Despite that every letter in the written directions were meticulously doodled in a different color....
It was a map suiting to it's maker. A maker whom was presently making his way down the avenue, dressed in as much a mess of colors and Disney contraband as his lent map....
Maxwell walked along with a bounce in his step, but not so much as to disrupt the yo-yo he sent rolling smoothly along the walkway in front of him. The other hand busy feeding his face the contents of a massive waffle cone, stuffed with six different flavored scoops of ice cream and topped with a slather of chocolate sauce, whipped cream and a mountain of sprinkles. The Man-child was in heaven. He had ice cream, free reign of the 'Happiest' place on earth, and---FRIENDS! Having spied and recognizing his beloved Sisi and Bunny a mile away, Maxwell snapped up his Yo-yo and slipped wordlessly though the crowd to idly join them. Sliding in besides Heng, to hang out in His shadow and eat ice cream, Maxwell resumed the casual sling and snap of his yo-yo, acting as though he'd been there the whole time.

Walter took the map from the girl whilst she stuttered something about going together, unfolded it and... "Oh, it's Maxwell's map." he looked up from what the girl had handed him with almost a sympathetic look. No wonder they sent him. This stuttering little girl would have no clue how to read this. Nor was there a soul in the main office or library that could read the rainbow collages Maxwell handed in - except Walter. Most of the time. Hanging out with a nutter like that for almost a decade and it's impossible for it not to rub off, especially when the nutter is considered your best friend. "High risk hunter area..." he read from seemingly out of nowhere as this was particular text was not written out.
Shoving the map back into one of his pockets Walter sounded like he suddenly took things a bit more seriously. "I normally don't usually suggest splitting up but I really didn't think this place would be as bad as it is." He gave the girl a tilt of the head as he shrugged, giving off the air of a child whom messed up but is not very worried about it. "So, do you want to come back home with us when we are done reaping?" Walter addressed Maxwell as if he had been there all along and was wondering if he wanted to come over for dinner after a pleasant walk in the park, although the proper response to seeing the man should have been a lecture about taking care of flowers so they didn't get lost or wilted away.

What was this? Did train hijackers follow Heng around?
"...I suppose Headquarters sent you as well," he mumbled as he pulled out his phone briefly to check. He had been following along for a while now, scanning the crowds and making sure to take note of buildings to avoid.
Crowded places like this made reap orders difficult to execute. Threads were tangled here and there, and it's easy to lose track of the human one's after. And added to that fun are Hunters.
Of course Hunters chose to set up shop near a theme park, Heng frowned. They seemed to have a lot of time on their hands, didn't they?
"I would rather have us all within reach of the other," Heng said when they started to talk about splitting up. What was the point of him coming if they were all going to be separated anyways?

"Nah, It's my day off.," Maxwell replied, knocking off two questions with one simple answer before stuffing his nose into his waffle cone again. He'd come back up a moment later, his cheeks dappled with sprinkles and chocolate. "Mm--Say, I didn't know you was comin' today, Sisi. If I know'd that, I'd given you the private tour! More the merry. Though if ya ain't busy, we should take a walk around t'gether! If we go now, We'd catch the next appearance of the pirates in Adventurland!" At that, Maxwell laughed and elbowed Heng in the side.

Sienna stepped back as Walter took the paper, making her feel like an unwanted guest as he brushed her off. It wasn't that she couldn't read the map because she could actually. Maxwell had been scribbling his blasted creations all over her room for years now. And despite his wild, eccentric behavior she had to admit he was good at his job. However... she lacked any presence or fortitude to lead. And heaven forbid she have to give orders or direct people.
As the boy began speaking again she raised an eyebrow in confusion. How could he state that it was a high hunter area and then continue to insist they split up? What manner of madness was this? She didn't get to ask though because an all too familiar drunk kaleidoscope of colors appeared in their midst. MAXWELL? Where had he come from? Wasn't he busy today? Oh dear... he had ice cream. Sugar. She was getting a headache just thinking about it. He mentioned exploring and pirates and she resisted the urge to face palm. Instead she politely smiled a little and waved at her teammate. It wasn't his fault she was surprised by his sudden appearance.
Turning her head she focused on Heng's agreement that they should stick together and nodded twice.

Within reach? Walter was not about to go hold hands with two other apprentices like some little baby. If anyone got lost it would not be him and if someone did then the only thing that would be any good reaching anyone in a crowd like this was an announcer at the information desk or the next best thing..."I'll write my number down for you." Walter sighed, pulling out a green crayola and a yellow post it note.
The scribbling was almost all done with it when he chocked a snort at Maxwell's joke and ended up coughing. "Well, -cough- if the show isn't far from -cough- where we are going..." He handed the slip with his number to the Asian man. It was a number with a drawing of a bunny - not far off from the style Maxwell had done for his theme park map.

Heng grunted when ah... Rainbow? Or... whoever this was elbowed him. Heng looked pointedly into the distance.
"Are you confident that you can take on a Hunter, or Hunters, alone?" he asked the child (but took the slip of paper anyways). "My duty is to fight them should that situation arise, not yours. Your duty is to make sure we don't get lost in this labyrinthine park and that the rest of you will know where to run if I say so," he continued sternly. He was on duty now, and duty wasn't something he ever took lightly.
"We're staying together," he said in a dad kind of voice. A 'no arguments young man' kind of voice.

Maxwell didn't quite understand what Walter was laughing about, but his little apprentice was smiling more than when Max had first arrived. So he dismissed it and paid more mind to the debate between splitting up and sticking together. As much as he loved Walter, Maxwell jumped right into Hengs side with his ice cream to hug the mans' arm in a physical display of how much he agreed with sticking together. "It's not, it's not! Stay with uuuuus, Bunny! LETS GO ON AN ADVENTURE! We'll find those mean ol' Hunters and....And..........AND TAKE EM TO THE CASTLE!" Because that's clearly where you took criminals.
